I guess this is somewhat of a new anime?

SUMMARY:

The Empire of Brittania has invaded and conquered Japan using the giant robot weapons called Knightmare Frames. Japan is absorbed into this Empire and renamed Area 11, and its people demoted to being second class citizens known as the 11s. The war seperates a young Brittanian boy, Lelouch, and his Japanese friend Suzaku but not before Lelouch vows to destroy Brittania for destroying his home and his life.

Years later, Area 11 (formerly known as Japan) is under Brittania military government where society is rigorously seperated by title, position and economic status and resistance is virtually hopeless. Lelouch is now a student attending a high school reserved for the children of noble families of Brittania. He has become a well-known chess player among the elite and regularly skips school to go gamble on this chess skill. One day, after coming back from one of these chess matches he gets caught up with terrorist 11s who have stolen a certain military secret.

Lelouch and the terrorists are caught by Suzaku, now a soldier in the Brittanian task force sent to recover that military secret. Years apart did not change this friendship so when more Brittanian troops arrive and Suzaku is ordered to execute Lelouch, he resists and is shot for disobeying orders. But the military secret, a mysterious young girl, offers Lelouch the power to make anyone obey any order he gives if only he would fulfil one wish of hers. He agrees seeing this as his opportunity to fulfill his childhood vow of destroying Brittania. With his brilliant tactical mind and newly acquired power He takes command of the terrorists and leads them to crush the approaching Brittanian force in the following skirmish. At the same time, Suzaku who survived his wounds is made the pilot of Brittania's prototype Knightmare, the Lancelot, and is sent into battle unknowingly against against his friend.

The friends go their seperate ways again each not knowing what has happened to the other. But fate would soon draw them together again as Suzaku is order to be executed for the assasination of the governor of Area 11. Lelouch must become greater than Brittania in the people's eyes if he hopes to rescue his friend and lead the people against Brittania. He must become the masked hero, Zero.

Uh, no. If u check ANN or Anime blogs regularly, u'd see that No. of episode titles that are released is 17. The fansubs take only 4-5 days. And besides, i know of some other groups who take months to release each episode.
Please check ur info carefully.

On a side note, i am loving this series. Clamp & Sunrise ~ now that can't go wrong.

This anime rocks. I really like the scientist dude, burnsss Suzaku when he was bout to spurt a theory on what justice is xD so funny.

This is actually pretty interesting since the main character is Machiavellian and reminds me of light from deathnote.

^ Well, kinda. Shinsen Subs and Ureshii has some complications (arguements) and dropped their joint operations for Code Geass and Ghost Hunt. Both are continuing Ghost Hunt but not Code Geass. Oh, and there was some amusing name calling in the mix, somewhere along the lines the N in Shinsen became another letter and it's something I shouldn't explain too far.

i saw the post on shinsen's page where vincent and someone from ureshii kinda argue. SHS seriously sucks. they have the stupidest drama and pick up every show possible without releasing most of them on a consistent schedule. i'm STILL waiting for them to finish gunxsword and ergo proxy. i used to like them because they seemed to do a lot of shows most groups didn't do but now they just suck. anyway, the quality is a lot better in gg's subs anyway since it's h264. shinsen's rip looked like crap.

Villete is a Britanian officer that Zero stole a Knightmare from in the first few episodes. Shirley might get her memory back, but I doubt it. Villete did, but Shirley probably won't

well it's better than the other alternative...which would be to kill her lol. hopefully she shows up again though. but yeah, it seems like things are always getting worse for zero.
