Can we list some songs?

A few bands/artists I'm faithful to

Blondie
Duran Duran
the Beach Boys
Gloria Gaynor (love her version of "I will survive")
Chicago
Europe

I found this great website that lists most of the 80's hits along w/ their lyrics.
Just thought I'd share...
http://www.afn.org/~afn30091/80songs.html

I think if it weren't for the 80's, we wouldn't be listening to some of the mainstream bands that are on the radio today.
I also love the 80's b/c it seems like there were a lot of taboo topics that were taken on by artist/bands ever more than before.
(i.e.: homosexuality, AIDS, masturbation, nuclear war, politics)

I just don't think they make music like they did in the 80's...

xxrainbowsun
OMG. I lovee zhe 80's music. Especially Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time. XD LOVEE HER SONG.

I love 80's music....I find them really soothing to the ears...
My mom told me that when me and my brother were still babies, she would play the radio (they play 80's music then..heh..Im an 87-er) as our lullaby instead of those 'rock-a-bye-baby' type of songs. That's why I can recognize the melody and some lyrics from 80's music even without knowing the singer and title of the song. I just love it! xDDD
