i checked my online account today and
i`ve been accepted to the University of Michigan [ its rolling admissions ]
i`ll have to wait till december for the SCEA decision to my top choice school
anywhos, just wondering if anyone else has gotten in rolling admissions
or recruited maybe? i think they started sending out decisions mid-october...

Well I know I'm accepted into Irvine and Santa Barbara (UC) through ELC, but that's not really .... anything.

I got accepted into Rutgers (also rolling admissions)...but I still have a long way to go to complete my college other applications. Congrats to everyone else who got accepted!

umich i heard is a pretty good school. but it's too far away from friends and family. and the ocean lol i haveta goto beach.

cuz i heard different like 3.7 gpa and 1400+ sats for out of state student uz i live in ny

yeah irvine is a real easy school to get into. its known to be a safety school for most ppl i know. my friend had a 3.3 gpa and 1200 sats and still got in.

but not sure if UCI in general became harder to get into...it may have.

Umich doesn't accept common app.
There's a whole new application, but one of the essay topics is any of your choice, so it should be fine.
however, for umich, you have to send EVERYTHING at once (in one fat folder).
sort of sucks...

rolling admissions means that they send out acceptance/rejection letters as they go. instead of sending them out all at the same time, as soon as they make the decision, they let you know.

Irvine's not that competitive...

yeaa its rolling, i think apps started going in early september, maybe late august (?)
ohh and nope they dont accept the common application; they have 3 short essays
you should apply online its pretty easy to do and quick.

Just got my acceptance letter from Penn State University Park (main campus) this week, which is also rolling admissions. I would say that it's not a highly competitive school, but I wouldn't say it's an easy school to get into, either. In any case, PSU was my safety school... So at least I know that I have an option if all else fails. xP

It's such a beautiful city and UofM is a pretty good university, there's so many Korean people... there's this Korean church that's pretty nice... AHHHH you're gonna love it there. I LOVE AA... QUESTION: What's Rolling Admissions?

Basically, in the case of UMich, UMich accepts students anytime from October (?) until February. You can hand in your application anytime during that period and you'll hear your response within a month or two.
