Shouldn't this be in the sports section? And I use a Wilson N-Blade. However, Babolats are also a good pick :]

i have a Wilson Hope racket, it's the girliest racket anyone's ever seen, is what my friends say. It's lightweight and pretty nice for me

but the grip's not so great though, it slips when your hand gets too sweaty, and when you use it too much, the grip will rub off on your hand and make it have black spots :\

its not the racquet that makes the player. its the player that makes the racquet

I use a Yonex though, mostly because we're sponsered by them. I love my raquet though, we have a special bond ^^

i have a wilson n-fury
but DO NOT get it.. its really not that good even though its in the "ncode" series
i only got it becuase it's blue and white and verrrrrry pretty
i would recommend prince o3 racquets
or head ones.. i actually found those to be the best
babolat pure drives are ok too.. and everyone seems to have them but i think they're overrated..
w/e its your choice tho
go to tenniswarehouse for more about racquets

i use a crappy wilson hyper hammer racquet. not sure what # it is though. this thing is ancient... only reason why i got it was because it was yellow like me and had nice sparkly traces of carbon fiber

I use a control racket, but that's because i'm a guy and i've been playing for awhile. moonk379 is right to some extinct (but i wouldn't use a wooden racket playing in today's style of tennis). I would recommend you get a racket that's in-between power and control, most rackets have it clearly shown on the label. If you are more on the intermediate level, i say try midplus head and see how you like it. Make sure the grip isn't too small or too big. <---- most people that complain about their rackets being slippery is mainly due to this problem, and use an overgrip because if it is the other problem, ur grip is just worn out and needs to be changed. Changing the overgrip is a better alternative to changing the grip itself and cheaper too.

I have two midplus Prince Warrior Triple Threat TT rackets (same as Patrick Rafters). They're the most accurate yet lowest power generating. I string mine at the upper end at around 56-58 lbs with standard Prince Synthetic.

Prince O3 Speedport Blue!!!!!^^
Oversize with wilson nxt guage strings!!!
I LOVE THIS racQUET!!! but it is really light so
if you hit better using a heavier racquet this might
not be for u...i have like no upper body power..haha...
so a light racquet was the one for meeeee....
edit://o i forgot to add tat you should just ask your instructor or trainer
what kind of racquet is good for you and maybe ur trainer has a lot of
different kinds racquets tat he/she can let you try out before u make ur purchase...
or some stores actually let you try out the racquets before you buy them...!!

It's so firm and awesome. Everyone is different, though... I've just used this one for so long that I can't get comfortable with another. I'M ATTACHED!<3 Haha just kidding.
Anyway, it's been good to me for 2 years on my tennis team.

Head Ti.Heat. Made of Titanium so its super light. Doesn't give much power but excellent ball control. I think its quite suitable for beg-intermediate if you're not a power player and if you want to focus on accuracy and placement.
Don't know the model, but I do use some Yonex racquets as well. A little less control than Head but decent power. Also, don't forget that the type of string and string tension have a lot of importance as well.

I've had a couple.. i kept breaking them..
Right now, I have a Head Intelligence ix3 Oversize

I've only had it for 2-3 years, I don't plan to get a new one because this one is pretty good.
It's really really light, but it doesnt hold much for power. Great for control though XD

i use two babolat aero drive rackets this racket is recommended for 4+ players for a average girl player i recomend the prince shark pricey but worth it go for over size because no offence girls cant produce enough power to use mids effectivly so over size is perfect liek the ncodes they have this white and blakc one cant remember name but i remember my gf used it and she gott 3 games outt ame in a pro set XP

Babolat's are known as POWER RACKETS. They fascilitate a power centered game. players like Andy Roddick and Maria Sharapova use the Babalot Pure Drive (a blue one).
But if you are an intermediate player, you want to stay away from power rackets (not because you cant use them), but because you want to foster a control first racket. Heads (used by andre Agassi) and Wilsons (used by Pete Sampras) are perfect. look into spending around $100 for a good racket (unless youhave a special discount or connections).
as far as that comment about "the player making the racket"... i agree completely. But having a good racket helps a little.
