I'm simply a curious person who likes to find out more about people in the world. So I hope no one takes offense to this, because I remember this one person did once. I'm not bashing any religion or whatsoever. I'm a very open-minded person in fact. I just would like to fill in my knowledge about different people and the different religions in the world.
I know Islam has spread quite much lately in South Korea, but all those I've heard are in South Korea, none that I've heard that were out of it. For instance, any Muslim Koreans spread in the United States? Canada? Europe? Any other place aside from South Korea itself? If you have any knowledge of this, please comment!

A lot of Southeast Asians are Muslim.
Muslim traders were the first to reach Asia for trade, before the Europeans came.
Thus through cultural diffusion and trade, Islam took a foothold in Asia.

Reading on a site...it says only about 0.2% of Koreans are Muslim.

Most South-East Asians are either Muslim or Roman Catholic.
The combination of those two isn't very good, some even leading to civil wars.
I don't think theres a lot of Muslim Koreans, my Korean friend has no religion ( O _ O ) ~

Hmong are spread out all across SE Asia and China, so it is technically inaccurate to consider them as Cambodians.

Thanks for posting about it. I was watching a KBS documentary about this one guy. I forgot his names, but the Middle East did bring much culture to East Asia, like Islam and its arts.

I have a bit about Islam in Korea - but only about non-Koreans, so what I'm more curious about is Koreans that are Muslims..
When I have time, I'll come back and check out that Wiki page (thanks Aziraphale)

well, seriously on the subject, there's a number of uzbek koreans & 1/2 central asian 1/2 uzbek koreans who are muslim... but I'm not familiar with them, nor are my friends.... since we know more native-to-the-area (that's a really bad way of putting it, & I apologize for my inarticulation) central asians ~

During the Korean War, Turkey sent the second-largest number of troops (after the United States) to aid South Korea under the United Nations command. In addition to their contributions on the battlefield, the Turks also aided in humanitarian work, helping to operate war-time schools for war orphans. Shortly after the war, some Turks who were stationed in South Korea as UN peacekeepers began teaching Koreans about Islam.
w00t! it all began with the Turks. Korean-Turkish friendship <3.

the family speaking Arabic doesn't mean that they are Muslims tho... because this is what most people think (stereotype) ...
there are alot of Arabs who are Jewish or Christians other than Muslims...
so, I just want to clarify that not all Arabs are Muslims...
btw, I'm Muslim and 100% Arab =)

if you play SilkRoad Online you will see that more than 50% of the entire silf road is made up o traders from islamic and arabic faiths. and the chinese ran all the way up and down the silk road...
then the mongols came and things became way too confusing...
oh and korea was part of the trade as well. korea was pretty close to the mongol north i thought.
