I would DEFINITELY leave a now with all my contact information. If someone did that to me, I'd be SO pissed off but if they had the common curtosey to leave a note, I'd give them that credit.
It's funny this was brought up because a few weeks ago I witnessed someone attempt to do a hit-and-run. I thought the same thing then and had thankfully got the person's plate number. I left a note on the hit-car describing the car that did it as well as their plate info, and my cell number just incase they needed it. Haven't heard anything.

hit and run?
done it before, definitely not doing it again.
the police came to my house,
'cause someone took note of my license number.
i got out with only a verbal warning,
but my mom was not pleased.
so yea.
definitely not doing that again.

Well one time I was running late for a final exam of a class and the sun was very bright and my glasses aren't too dark and I thought I once hit a car pulling into a space but the person was around and didn't ever say anything to me so I figured everything was okay. That's been the only time and I was so nervous that I did something but obviously I didn't.

I'd throw some D's on it. Sure, I hit your car, but I threw some D's on it and now you barely notice the dent.
I've never hit a parked car.

Not very hard.
Leave note. Even if you don't think someone saw you there could be cameras. If you are scared the owner will make a fake charge take a couple pictures and write down the date.

I would have to say, I'd leave a note. Believe me, until you have become a victim of hit and runs, you have no idea what its like... and sometimes I would even snap the photos of the damage I created in case the person who owns the car tries to exaggerate the claim.
Also if I catch any of you trying to pull a hit and run on my car, I will be sure to press charges, make you pay for damages (and/or report you to your insurance company along with a police report of a hit and run) and make you life hell.
I remember with my uncle's car, we were rear ended, the guy backed up and did a U turn and drove off... but not before I got out of the car with the camera that he keeps in his glove compartment and got the guy's license plate. I think later he was arrested, because of hit and run and no insurance (which the damages were paid by my uncle's insurance coverage for uninsured driver property damage). Its sad how many hit and runs go on each day... parking hit and runs are the most notorious.
PS. I keep a point and shoot camera (with zoom) at all times within reach of my driver seat, in case something were to happen.

^ damn... lucky for me i don't live anywhere near you.
well, if i hit a car and it's just a light scratch and noone was around, i'd run away. if i dented their bumper or something, i MIGHT write them a note... but i dunno. probably panic and call people to ask them wth i should do.
my sister hit a car once in a parking lot. she was trying to get into the parking space and hit the car right beside her. Made a BIG scratch and didn't write any note/info. you'd think she would run off, but she backed up a bit, and parked her car right next to the car. ......

it and run if its not too serious (like a scratch or something)
if its something big I MIGHT leave my number.. maybe not. lol. I never hit anybody before except once where I thought I didn't leave any marks on the opposite car... then again it was dark so maybe I did make a huge ass damage without knowing about it... lol i guess i did commit hit and run already.

hehe, i heard this story of a guy teaching his younger sister how to drive in an empty parking lot. she manages to reverse into the only car in the whole parking lot. she tried to run but forgot she was still in reverse.
i had a friend who hit my car and ran at starbucks. first, she backed up, turned scraped my back bumper, stopped for a second, went all the way to the stop sign before calling me about it. it was so minor that i just wiped most of it off.

First if I saw you I would take pictures as you drive away and report it right away.
If I didn't have the time to do that I would for sure follow you.
If there was nothing that could be done, I'll just wait till you park and take a bat to all your windows, same difference if no one is around right? All the kids that had mommy or daddy buy the car the answer is probably obvious, those of us who have spent our hard work and money on our own car realize what happens if it happened to us. Really is the same thing as if I take a bat and start hitting your car and walking away because no one saw. Everyone who said Hit and Run should seriously consider re-evaluating your life, unless you are 12 years old then you have an excuse because you have a few more years to learn about responsibility.

Damn I really did hit a car in a parking lot once.
I thought I just scratched them so I drove off to the nearest gas station to inspect the damage on my car. My front bumper was dented all the way in so I knew the car I hit was obviously going to be damaged. Then I drove back and went to campus police so they could call the girl and she could have my insurance and all that. Went back to look at her car and there was a slight dent and some major scratches. Not terrible, but I still felt bad because her car looked brand new. I'd feel hella guilty if her parents bought her a new car for her first semester in college and I hit and run her.
depending on how much damage. If i just bump the car and nothing done. Id run. If made a dent I'd leave contact. IF I somehow ended up severly damaging a high end car I'd run. rich basterds dont need my money anyways. chances of this happening will be slim to none though.
