so i've been in college for almost 2 months now.. i signed up for a double, but i think my roommate dropped out or sumthing, so i kinda have a single now..
anyways have any of u guys encounter this before? and if so did u get a roommate eventually?
rite now i have the 2 beds 2gether so i get a bigger bed ^^ but im technially not suppose to.. my ra told me i'm not suppose to and whatnot.. she also told me i might get a roommate 2morrow or not til next semester... i did think of separting my beds back to what it use to be because i dont want her to come in n be like "WTF@($(@!" lol
yea.. but w/e i'm enjoying every moment of it.. any of u guess been roommate less for the whole semi n only paid a double?

At this late in the semester I would think you're not going to get a room mate since classes have been underway for a while and whatnot. It'd be kinda silly to join up now unless a person doesn't like their room mate and they decide to leave another room mate for some reason. I don't have a room mate only because I don't live on campus since my school doesn't have dorms sadly.
One of my friend had a roommate but during the second quarter, that girl dropped out.
So for the rest of the school year, my friend had the room all to herself, and I'm pretty sure she paid the price of a double room.

last year after one semester one roommate dropped out and the other just switched rooms
now this year my roommate doesnt even sleep in our room because she has a boyfriend she can stay with...my guess is that she'll move out next semester
i swear im a good roommate though

Won't they give you prior notice if you're going to get a new roomate? I say just leave the beds together and enjoy the extra space while you can. 
And yeah I doubt that you will get a new roomate this semester since it's already half over. But next semester you may get a new roomie...hopefully you get along with each other.

im really sad actually because i like living by myself..
i mean i like my roomate...she is cool and all but i wished i lived by myself you know..its more convient..that way.

This is my first year and i've roommates hehe. But wow, i think i'd be a bit lonely without any actually. But i guess it's because i've lived with other ppl my whole life and i like company.^^ But yeah, i do like my own space.. i j/ think it'd be more comforting to have someone to talk to in the middle of the night or to get fast and convenient access to another opinion.

that happened to me
i had a double then my roommate moved out after 1 week cuz he found an apartment
so RA told me that i will get a new roommate and i expected one cuz it was still very early in the school year
but i never got one. so i had the double to myself WHOLE year.
it was awesome but after that, i didnt feel like rooming with anyone else so i got a single next year.
im kind of disappointed that i didnt get one cuz i was looking forward to having a roommate my first year but w/e
but yeah, the RA was being weird about me using the other side of the room. she's like YOU CANT USE THAT SIDE. STAY ON YOUR SIDE.
but NO ONE IS USING IT!!!! so retarded. since im a good person i obeyed the rules and got the satisfaction that i had more air to breathe in.

yea thats what i heard! i dont want them to charge me as a single cuz i signed up for a double.. well if they do i'd seriously yell at them lolOMG yea its weird, we have 2 campuses n the north has primaryly white ppl (>85%) and thats the campus every1 wannted to be in.. n i got on south, n let me tell u in my resi hall floors theres only like 5 white ppl period.. the rest are asian.. black... hispanic.. etc.. racisit ppl -_-yea i like being able to sleep late at nite... blast my chinese/korean/w/e music w/ :Dthanks i really hope my roomate -2-be whenever i get her will be chill.. my friends lucked out all of their roommats are wicky chill

besides my room mate from freshman year who i got along with splendidly, only because he was pretty much better than me in every aspect and i accepted it pretty quickly, but he was humble and respectable...that was probably what prevented conflicts between us.

Having your own double room is the best. I had a single when I was a freshman, but I shared a bathroom with my neighbor, who was also my friend from high school. He ended up moving out to a dorm closer to campus (we were 10 minutes away from the campus. Yes our dorm was far), so I had 2 single bedrooms and my own bathroom for a semester.
It happens, one of my friends decided to commute instead of dorm because she really didn't like it. She also didn't tell her roommate until the day off...sad I know. one of my friends went roommate-less two weeks into the school year due to the fact that her roommate got accepted into the sor. the previous year. she like having a roommate, but said living by herself is better, just because the whole room is hers.
i supposed they only pair guy with guy and not girl with guy mwahhaha.

ah you are lucky i had a horrible experience with roommate. I don't think many people have roommates as they progress in university... nobody wants one. housemate is fine. stay room-mate less.
