Dont get the accord just yet, wait a couple years until the kinks are worked out.

Accord is vanilla, plenty of pop though. I say pick a civic and be satisfied.

the upgraded ones have like 268 hp thats a LOT for an accord. its pretty nice.
if u have 21K+ i suggest getting that.
if u want a gas saver go get urself a yaris. i think its cheaper as well.
but the accord upgraded is very nice imo.

depends what you want the car for, if you want to save gas then its probably better to go with the 4cyl accord, or better yet toyota yaris, honda fit or civic. im driving the 07 4cyl camry and its decent on gas and its pretty comfy ride, moreso than the accord imo. you should go test drive the potential cars you are considering with ur folks and decide from there.

I work at a Honda dealer, in my opinion, I don't like the new accord very much. The coupes look ok, but I don't like what they did with sedans. I feel like downgraded too on the interior as far as the way the gauges look and the center console. I think the new camry looks a lot nicer. They drive decently though. If i had the choice I'd probably take the accord over the civics, I feel like the civic's suspension is just way too floppy, unless it's the SI.

^I have to disagree.....I think the exterior and interior are a big step up, and on a higher level than the camry. Motor Trend agrees :
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedans...amry/index.htmlThe Accord is much nicer and fun to drive than the Camry. You may just need to get used to the change.

"Rather than simply report our general impressions of the new 2008 Honda Accord, we thought it wiser to commandeer a topline EX-L V-6 and pit it against the aforementioned king of the class, the 2007 Toyota Camry SE V-6."
it wouldve been nice if they compared a top-of-the-line se-v6 with their ex-l v6 but either way interior-wise the accord wins, hands down. though i cannot comment on the drive because i havent had the chance to try the 08 accords, but i can tell you the se ride is different from the le and xle

I hate the design of the Accord. I'd much rather buy the new Civic Hybrid instead...throw the extra money in a 6/mo CD or something.

take a look for yourself. dont believe in magazines or other people. just taking a test drive will give you an experience on what the car is like.

I think the styling is hideous, but if you don't really care for the looks or if you like it the Accord is a solid buy. However if you want something smaller with better gas mileage, the Civic is a much better looking car and more practical for younger drivers.

Wow.. ^^ I'm wondering how much does the '08 Toyota Camry XLE go for, & the '08 Acura TSX? I actually heard on one of the crash rating tests for the TSX that it made a 4 and the other one a 5. While, Camry made both 5's?

The 2008 Honda Accord model looks better than it's predecessor but financially, Accords aren't the best choice.
Just get a small, easy to maneouvre car. Those are almost always lower than 30K. (=

I own an 08 Accord and I love it. When I first drove it though, I was bothered by the sensitive brake. But now, it's no big deal. I agree that the Accord's rear is ugly (it looks like a bubbly butt), but I don't like the design of the Civic. It's so small and the nose of the car dips down a lot.

I absolutely LOVE the new Accord. Especially the Accord EX-L Coupe. If I didn't have my current cars, I would seriously buy one.
