well i was reading some stuff online and i came across this diet. It doesn't have a specific name but it seems kinda reasonable... I don't actually believe that it will make you lose 20 lbs in a month but 10-12 lbs is possible.

here's the diet.
6 Things You Must Do To Lose 20 pounds 3 - 4 Weeks
*Listed in order of importance
1.) You need to Eat 4 times a day 3-4 hours apart
2.) Before each meal you need to....
* Eat at least 2 whole raw fruits and/or vegetables - For example you can eat... 2 carrots,
a head of broccoli & a banana, an apple & orange, or either 4 sticks of celery and...
(they recommend drinking one scoop of whey protein or soy protein with 8 ounces of water
after eating your fruit and veggies, but i want to omit this because i'm afraid it'll make me
gain weight since i'm not weight/strength training. it's supposed to suppress your appetite, you
can try it if you want.
)Why doing this helps you lose weight fast...
o Your body has to burn a lot of calories (burn lots of FAT) to digest all the raw fruits & vegetables you eat and
since you're eating them 4 times a day... You're going to lose weight fast.
o Eating raw fruits & veggies (not cooked or steamed) will help you lose weight fast.
o Eating raw fruits & veggies, drinking whey or soy protein & ice cold water means...
You'll never get hungry, never have any cravings or a big appetite so... You'll eat less and lose more weight faster.
o Raw fruits & veggies remove toxins from your blood and once these toxins are gone...
The enzymes in the raw fruits & veggies liquefy and flush fat out of your body.
3.) Right after you eat your fruits & veggies and drink your protein... you're going to eat a healthy meal underneath 300 calories. nothing fried!!!
ex: roasted chicken breast, fish fillet etc... and more veggies or fruits.
4.)You need to drink 70 ounces of ice cold water everyday.

Day 1 (11/5/07)
Ate 4 meals. each meal consisted of broccoli head, 2 carrots and one fuji apple. Followed raw foods with 1/4 broiled chicken breast and steamed veggies.
Lost 1 lb already. water weight perhaps? we'll find out tomorrow morning.

Day 2 (11/6/07)
i weighed myself this morning and i was 137 lbs. Not much body change but i feel that my stomach is smaller cuz my jeans are fitting better.

i played DDR and Pump it Up this morning for 30 minutes instead of power walking. i am going to go have my green tea now.

Day 3 (11/7/07)
I'm 136 lbs. Body still feels the same. I didn't have time for DDR this morning because I have 9:00 class. I just ate my raw broccoli and carrot stick with one banana. I washed it down with one cup of water. Since i couldn't work out, i power-walked to my classes and took A LOT of stairs.
meal 2.
got home from school. i made some soup with 1/4 a chicken breast and tofu. before my meal i ate the standard half a head of broccoli and 2 carrots. For fruit i ate one fuji apple. followed my meal with ice cold green tea.
meal 3.
skipped.
i'll have to work on my meals too... i wasn't hungry and i didn't feel like eating.. which is super bad cuz my metabolism has prolly slowed down cuz of this. darn..)meal 4.
still not hungry. so i just ate some frozen Longan (this is sooo good! you guys should go google it if you don't know what this fruit is!)and ate 2 bananas with one fuji apple. i followed my fruit with some lightly salted highly spiced grilled salmon. yummy. drank 2cupsof water.
THINGS TO WORK ON:
I'm trying hard to drink the required amounts of water, but it's really hard.
I really have to work on eating ALL OF MY MEALS!
I HAVE TO DRINK GREEN TEA.
I really can't eat all of the required fruits AND veggies. My stomach is pretty small. so, instead i will eat either 2 servings of veggies and 1 serving of fruit or vice versa.

TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 4 lbs.

Day 8 (11/13/07)
Still following the diet...
new stats:
weight: 136
total weight lost: 4 lbs.
my weight has stagnated, but i fit into my clothes better. I have been sorta gaseous :X but all of that fiber is good for me i guess.
I'm still struggling to drink all of my water. need to work on this!!!! i'm currently substituting my broccoli with carrots and celery instead. I've fought my sweet cravings by eating sweet fruit instead...(frozen longans, grapes, or other types of berries...)
Day 11 (11/16/07)

weight: 134
total weight lost: 6 lbs.
not much difference. I'm drinking more water and tea. i'm trying to do bansinyok too. maybe i'll do it tonight.

NEW UPDATE!!! 03/25/08
i didn't follow the diet completely and its been a while since I've posted.. sorry guys, i've just been really busy with school and work.. anyway, I tried to follow the diet as much as possible and i didn't lose 20 lbs. I think i probably would have if i did everything i was supposed to. Right now I am still shifting back from 129-132 lbs. Even though i didn't lose 20 lbs, I've reached my Goal weight.
YAY~! I have a gym membership now and i try to exercise as much as possible. This is a really good diet. (but it can make you run to the bathroom a lot...high in fiber.. lol. ) I was never hungry and I had lots of energy for school and work. I would recommend that you preprepare your meals because if you are busy like me, it's very easy to get off track cuz you have to cook healthy.
if you guys are still doing this, please stay on track! remember a little a day is better than nothing!
