The last birthday party I had was in Gr. 11, when I was 17 years old. I stopped celebrating after that....don't see the big hype about birthdays. I mean, sure, my family is really nice to me on my b-day, gets me stuff, etc. and my friends say happy birthday, but I never felt like celebrating too much.
I know some ppl like to go out with friends, etc., but I just find it more and more pointless as I get older.

My bday's coming up soon... it's a 'milestone' birthday but probably nothing's going to happen. My family will take me out to dinner, I'll get a few emails and IMs and that'll be that.
In a way, it's fine but on the other hand, I do think from time to time it'd be nice to have a birthday celebration that's a big deal at least once.

I used to celebrate my birthday every year with many people coming over but ever since I turned 21, I lose the interest and just feel like having a simple celebration with family and friends. Since I am studying in NY, I dont celebrate at all.

How do I celebrate my birthdays?
Pretty much the same way as the very day I was born: Someplace naked, crying, and utterly confused.

Parties stopped at, like, 5, so not "celebrating" isn't new, but my mom will buy or make a cake, and we'll go out for lunch or dinner where my dad always threatens to tell the waiter it's my birthday.. Definitely a family day. Even if we don't do anything special.

i even got some drink form total unknown american men in the pub, since it was my 21st they got all hyped up...though in europe i'm allowed to drink since i past 18, lol...anyway i was thankful XDD

For the past 22 years, this day has been treated like any other day. I don't plan to change this trend any time soon.
I actually get kind of irritated when people say "Happy Birthday" to me. Puts me in an awkward situation so I'll either respond with, "Umm thanks...." or " Yeah, whatever."

Birthdays do seem to become less and less important as you get older (and I can see why...lol)
But...I usually just meet up with a few close friends and go out for dinner or something...
Nothing extravagant! Although, I would love to have a "bigger deal" b-day bash for my next birthday, seeing as it's one of those milestone ages!!!

Dinner with family and friends at a decent restaurant. Possibly clubbing and/or karaoke with friends.
Sometimes a cruise.
It really depends on whats available at the time.

I stopped celebrating my birthday in high school. I don't care about it. I see nothing great about knowing that I've aged on that particular day.

A lot of my friends still celebrate birthdays... but I think some of them use it as an excuse to still go clubbing.
I celebrated my 23rd this year by organising a go karting race! It was super fun!!! There was a trophy presentation and everything! XD Doing the same for my 24th.

I just had my 20th bday 2 days ago. Originally I wasn't planning on doing anything (I've never celebrated birthdays) , but my friend called me out and we had a dinner.
It was really sweet of them.

with friends usually a big get together like karaoke (in high school) or a party/lounge (college). and with family we usually go out for dinner or stay in and have a big homecooked meal. this coming birthday (as I turn 23..sigh) I'd really like to just go to the spa or on a shopping spree. and then go home and sleep in my warm fluffy sheets.

I never really cared too much about my birthday either. After I met a friend that had a birthday a year before mine, we celebrated it together for the last couple of years except last year. I wanted to have my own for some reason, and when I did I realized that isn't what I wanted. We celebrated it together once again this year. I realized I don't like the attention and enjoy sharing a birthday with a friend. Dinner and/or a chill night of drinking, no more getting piss drunk!

Parents take me out for dinner.
With friends, I usually have a dinner and maybe some sort of clubbing/lounge event. I turned 21 this year, so I had a week of birthday festivities. Multiple dinners with different groups of friends, and then a big party at a club where I had the VIP area and champagne.

You would think that as you get older...the more FUN it will be....
Somehow...I find for myself that as I am one year older every year...
I tend to not celebrate it anymore...It's not as exciting...Maybe my mind is just elsewhere...?
No more anticipation for presents...cards...
But of course I can always accept a YUMMY cake...
Birthdays have turned into a BIG food grubbing feast.

Well, yesterday was my birthday and I spent the day with my friends. We are all down in Florida working for Disney World so we first started the day off at Disney-MGM Studios since we rarely go there. We took lots of pictures and got on the rides then we all dressed up nicely and went to Grand Floridian and ate at Narcoosee's. The food was good but expensive - though we don't regret since we had a good time. =) Today is the day after my birthday and we are going to EPCOT and plan to eat at Chef de France.

since you stopped celebrating at age 17. No big deal... but once you're aging... you would want to do a lot more things! dress up and just party and chill........... i never celebrated my birthday til i turned 21! that was just something BIG now i love it. And i want to make a bigger event for my birthday next year. Good luck with that! have fun Its once a year!

My birthdays have never been terribly exciting except for the fact that I am happy to have them to celebrate the opportunity to live.
I think birthdays are special because we should celebrate the time we are alive and can be here with others. I think you should do it all the time but this one day just to stop everything and only celebrate this happiness.
Every day isn't peaches and cream but I am preferring to try to see the good things and ignore the bad things.

I don't know. Usually I remember all my friends' birthdays but mine, so my family and friends always have something to surprise me. Every year, my mother cooks sticky rice for me (my favorite), my sisters cooks one new food (I love to tried their new food, they're very good), my father spends a whole day to play game with me, and my best friends send me cards. It's happened for more than 20 years now.

i don't think birthdays are a big thing anymore. well they were when i was young. i only had one large-scale birthday party when i was 9 and 15. but after that, it's just dinner and a cake that's all.
but for the last two birthdays i had them outside home, so it's just dinner with friends and we'll just do whatever we usually do after.
birthdays has lost its significance as we grow older, even the milestones don't mean anything except the harsh reality of me growing older but not yet achieving anything worth mentioning.

When I turned 20, I just chatted online with my friends no one was home so I did not have much of a birthday party on my birthday.
Because I had it a few days before my birthday on the day I was supposed to be born June 12.
So, for that day I dresed up and then I had a cake and my friends came over and at night time I went to prom.
So it was good.

My birthday was yesterday.
I just went out to have a nice dinner with my friends and then headed out for some drinks at a lounge afterward.
It was fun and I got drunk but it just wasn't the same anymore lol. Though I do want to have a good time on my birthday I could have cared less if I stayed home or went out yesterday.

Those were the days, now I think I'm getting to be a very boring person. Dinner with friends and families is good enough for me

My mom always cook pasta for my birthday!.

It's an excuse to eat a lil expensive dishes imo.
