Ha, if you just turned 21 than that's for your friends to decide. Mostly they'll give you all and anything that will make you so drunk you won't even remember what you had the next day. Congrats on your 21st!

Come to UK and I will treat you with a Snake-Bite....beer, cider and blackcurrent rolled into one.

Long Islands, but it will tear you up. I like it because it is a sipping drink and it doesn't take long to get buzzed. I like the simple pineapple vodka, and it is usually what I drink unless I get a beer.

Strawberry margaritas and fuzzy navels are yummy fruity drinks.

Oh BTW, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

I recommend Franzia wine.

The box of wine that doubles as a pillow once you're through with it.

(Moreover, an old cardboard box of wine hurts much less than a glass bottle of wine when struck over the head - just some precautionary advice)

You can't go wrong with a Long Island Iced Tea, or a White Russian... or a Tequila Sunrise.

Drinks: Tokyo Tea, Screwdriver, Midori Sour, Chambrod (sp?) and 7, Sex on a Beach, Flaming Dr. Pepper

Shots: Red-headed Slut, Crisp Washington Apple, Kamikaze, Surfer on Acid, Scooby Snack

it's sort of an acquired taste, but it's quite lovely once you become a fan of it

nothing like a little johnny blue or ballentines on the rocks. mmm..

but you can never go wrong with a black lemonade or an amf for drinks, don julio for tequila, and effen/42 below for vodkas.

I'm rather partial to Screaming Nazis, Polar Bears, gin and juice, and Kamikazes.

I second the Tokyo Tea recommendation tea posted eariler as well.

i'm really into gin and tonics. it's nice and simple and always works.

My drinks of choice are rum&cokes and malibu&sprite. But for other mixed drinks, I like Sex on the Beach, Tequila Sunrise, Melon Ball, Whiskey Sour. Oh, and Margaritas, Pina Coladas, and Bellinis - yum!

Since it's your 21st birthday though, your friends should get you a Muff Diver

I don't drink much these days but I have to admit that the Screaming Nazi is a good drink. If you're looking for something a bit softer, go for a mint julep.

For cold nights, try a Bombardino, which is coffee with Advocaat and whiskey.

I like anything with rum. Piña Colada is quite nice if you're not looking for anything too strong.

Kir Royale, Tequila Sunrise, Sex on the Beach and the aforementioned Screwdriver are pretty good too.

As for shots, try Kamikaze, Illusion.

Surprised nobody mentioned the "fun" drinks.

My favorite is an Irish Car Bomb, which is a shot of half Bailey's Irish Cream, half Jameson Whiskey that you drop carefully (or else it'll splash onto your clothes) into a glass of Guinness then chug. Smooth and creamy.

But not all bars serve this so you could go with a Mandarin Bomb, which is a shot of Mandarin Absolut Vodka that you drop into a glass of Red Bull.

Definitely try a Traffic Light which is a green shot, a yellow shot, and a red shot taken in sequence. Tastes pretty sweet. Take some with your friends and race but don't spill!

when i hit 18 (legal drinking age in Australia) some friends got me a flaming lamborghini

i'm not much of a drinker, but for starters apple martini is good with a light meal. my favorite hard liquor drinks are rum with coke and soju

My Club drink: Redbull + Vodka

Drinks that tastes good and allows me to take my time with: Majitos, Midori Sours, Screwdrivers, Long Island Ice Teas, Tequila Sunrise

Shots that get me stupid drunk: Liquid Cocaine, Astalavista(some places call it Adios), Washington Red/Green Apples, Grey Goose,

Drinks that are just fun to do with buddies: Traffic Light, Irish Car Bomb, Jaegar Bomb

Acitivities for house parties:
1) Take a lazy Susan (one of those spinning trays like at DimSum) and make a ring of shot glasses around the table, gather around the table, spin the lazy susan, whatever is in front of you, you gotta drink.. might be water? might be vodka, might be coke w/ rum? might be coke w/o.

There are just some drinks I prefer.
Drinks: Malibu & coke, Malibu Bay Breeze (malibu, cranberry & pineapple juice), Vodka & sprite/cranberry/pineapple, Midori Sour, Amaretto Sour, Stoli Vanil & Cranberry (takes like cheesecake, i swear), Absolut Ruby Red Cosmo, Regular cosmo, Hpnotiq martinis.. I love fruity drinks mostly, but sometimes I just want a beer. Corona, Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, Pumpkin Ale. I hate bud/bud light/coors etc. Generally, I just get a corona since beer is cheaper than liquor when I'm out.

Shots: Jolly Rancher Shot, Jager Bomb (1 of my favs), Patron but i need a lime & salt (another of my faves, but more than 1 will wreck me).

I just looked up the recipe for a Screaming Nazi, and it seems like it would be truly disgusting.

I recommend margaritas. When made with good tequila in the correct proportions, a margarita is pleasant and subtle, not candy-like - the sort of drink that a foodie can appreciate.

anyways, i love tequila sunrise, jagerbombs (redbull and jager, easy to make)...its tasty.

i also hear midori sour (a "chick drink") is also good, as is a flaming dr pepper (but you gotta be able to chug a mug of beer and not take your time, otherwise the flavor kind of sucks later on).

i've got a bartender's book too...go find yourself one and pick out something that sounds good.

Yeah we call that an AMF - Adios Mother F'er. That tastes pretty bad but like everyone said a Long Island Iced Tea or those other teas (Long Beach and Tokyo) have hard stuff in them as well and taste decent. Wow everyone's mentioning what my friends and I call "18 year old drinks." Here's another one, haha... a Mind Eraser. It's got three layers that you sip through a straw... the bottom layer is mild and tastes good, the middle layer is gross but really strong, and the top layer is tonic water I think. You can figure out why it's called "Mind Eraser." Just don't be stupid and desperate enough to get F'd up fast like an 18 year old. :shudders: Bad memories. Take it easy, have fun, and stay conscious enough to enjoy drinking socially.

tequila (if possible, then tequila gold, hehe, but silver is okay too)
vodka, i drink a lot of vodka, usually with orange juice, or my fav: with redbull... really girly drinks, but i love them
also what i usually drink is red wine mixed with coke, tastes great as well

oh and of course the usual cocktails are great too, like sex on the beach, pina colada, etc.

Since you are new to drinking ( i think ) start with cocktails that don't taste like alcohol. get you nice and drunk, then you can move onto shots with NO PROBLEM.

Junebug, Midori Sour, any kind of blended drinks, Lychee Sidecar, or the all time girly favorite, Appletini, is a nice starter.

Then you can become an alcoholic like me and down AMF's like their punch!

And ____ sojus are always good.

People like yogurt soju, lemon soju, and pineapple soju. I like yogurt the best.

Canada: I ALWAYS order a spicy caeser first (for non-canadians, its clamato juice and vodka.. think bloody mary but with clam juice..)
