I've seen posts about Paintball, but does anyone do Airsoft? I've done Airsoft for many years and really enjoy the realistic simulation of it.

For those of you who don't know what Airsoft is basically it's very similar to paintball except there is a realistic simulation to it where the guns, and gear are all exact replica's of the real deal. You are still shooting plastic bb's but they are not coated with paint. Often times you'll have scenarios...basically it's like playing COD4, BF2, or CS, except in real life. You can read more about it here.

Post your kits and gear loadouts! I buy all my gear from WarGamer's or RedWolf. If you want to see more pictures let me know.

Looks uber cool but we don't have any of these facilities/services in Australia as airsoft guns are banned.

I do however have 3 at home. sleep.gif

When I was young I didn't go to organized events, me and my friends went to forest areas and set up a game there with about 20 people, only thing we wore that was protective were masks cuz we didn't want to shoot each other in the eye, plus we were using metal bb's. It was pretty fun it and very realistic except there were no real guns lol. I remember everybody pressuring each other to do a pointblank shot on themselves.

Yeah i've done that. It REALLY hurts. We usually did senarios and things at some guy's farm, or in the woods. We did like the Counterstrike version, and my team had to place the bomb in this big barn. Some guys wore t-shirts...big mistake. They had bloody welts at the end of the day all over their arms and back.

I really wanna play that sad.gif
Played it once in Hong Kong with my cousins friends, they all wore protective gear, and ah dear my head gave away where my lcation was all the time sad.gif

It's evolved a lot in 7 years...and actually the special forces groups in taiwan, japan, etc, all use airsoft as training methods.

Depending if you got FSP limits or not. Sounds like you guys are playing with some pretty 'hot' guns if people are coming out of games with bloody welts. My brother has a full Systema upgrade in his gun. At first it wasn't legal to play with. He had a m170 in there so it was pumping about 650-700 fps (too dangerous and definitely NOT field legal). Left with no other option he had to downgrade it. Now it's a m130 shooting at about 400 fps with .30s. Best gun on the team. I'm sure there's a higher influx of people on the west coast who play with 'hotter' guns than on the east coast. Giving that the sport seems bigger over there.

Well our (brothers and I) armory consists of a TM m-14 socom, custom full Systema M4 (used to be TM, looks like a SR-16 w/o the long front RIS), TM m733, TM m933 (modified), SRC M4, and a Wells AUG (little pee shooter). I'll show a picture or two sometime.

As to playing the sport, I like it. I'm not too fond of 'paintsoft' though (open field and just charging at each other). Prefer playing milsim or games that are played in woods. I'm a pansy when it comes to CQB courses. Too close and things can get kind of nasty. Judging by your uniform seems like you guys play CQB a lot. One thing I really like about the sport is the milsim aspect of it. Our team uses Flecktarn (mandatory) and it works wonders in the woods (camouflage is high priority in my book).

But yeah, whatever, sorry about the random blabbering. You have a lot of gear too by the way. A lot of expensive gear. That Blackhawk stuff costs an arm and a leg. So does that EO-Tech (last time I checked). Do you know by any chance Noodle_2000 on Arnies? Just wondering.

Well like you said we do a lot of urban and CQB play, a lot of it is CS style sims with objectives - terrorist vs. counter, etc. If you're wearing a t-shirt and get hit even with a stock MP5 at 320/350FPS while room breaching you can still get bloody welts believe me. I actually only use stock FPS, with the exception of my PSG-1 which is around 500 FPS. I use my Delta Force kit for outdoor games, typically woodland senarios. Yeah i've dished out some decent money, but compared to Paintball, Airsoft is waayyy cheaper. One of my friends just one paintball gun costs him $800. I don't know a Noodle_2000, sorry.
