well...i've come to a state where i'm not playing any sports anymore..
i've become a tae kwon do prodigy, but thats it and its getting boring..
i need a real live sport..and im not talking about a school sport ( our team's suck toooooo much)
i've played football and not to be cocky, i was to good for em.
i've done 2 types of gumdo, tae kwon do.
and i've done basketball but rec, since i didnt even wanna try out.

and i'm looking for a sport that can help me lose weight and is still fun..
no school sport...some live action sport

i was tight end, tackle, and line backer...and does that help you with wat kinda body i have?
i can bench like 150 MAX
and i'm 5'11
yea...now tell me some sports biggrin.gif

How were you a linebacker with a max bench of 150? Unless you mean 150 kg, then you're a beast beyond beastliness. Or maybe your squat (the far more important lift) was like 350+ But then again, maybe you're just younger than I thought you were. How old are you?

Anyway, if you want to lose weight, wrestling will do it. You'll not only lose weight from practice (grappling works all your muscles simultaneously since you're constantly trying to maneuver yourself and your opponent) but you'll usually have to bulk up and then have to cut weight to make your weight class. Most wrestlers I know lose a lot of weight and just get ripped from all their strength training. It's an awesome sport for getting strong and fast all over. Plus since you're awesome at taekwondo it'll add a whole new dimension to your fight game - the ground game. I really wish I would've taken up wrestling when I was younger - it would've been FREE. And the only consequence would've been that it's just ever so slightly gay.

Oh btw, I know you said no school sports, but for wrestling it doesn't matter how bad your team sucks. You can still make a great name for yourself on your own individual merits. And trust me, if you're in the U.S. you'll never ever get TOO good. We have some AMAZING wrestlers here that will always provide a healthy challenge. Hope this helps! Best of luck to ya!

Trying playing pool. Go to a pool, and get an expert to show you how to play? It's something that you can't easily learn, and it's addictive and fun. Been playing for about 3 years now.

i'm 185.
i made the varsity team in freshmen year...
i was mostly tight end in middle school cuz i got good hands, but last year..he said i look like a line backer, i played as line backer one game and tackle one game...i was pretty much descent for my first try..but ended putting me as tight end again..but those seniors were hellla mad xD
cuz they got benched the whole season and a freshmen is out there playing every game xD
but the problem was...the QB, probably the best player on the team was a damn ballhog...he never passes it and he goes fro the touchdown..
thats mostly why we suck..

If you seem to be so good, why not play for state? or nationals? Or any sporting clubs where you can make a career out of the sport(s) you play.

because..i really dont wanna concentrate that much on sports..the furthest i'll go is high school varsity..cuz i think theres no need to waste time playing football, even tho its not my dream to become a player...anyways i can't run a 4.00 40 yard anyways...
i'm focusing on my dream
but im gonna need some kinda sport to do...
i was considering tenis, it looks kinda fun..but maybe some kinda martial arts too...
i do taekwondo and gumdo..so i'm not sure on wat else i should do...

and maybe i'll play basketball at my church team...
ohyeah...forgot to mention, i'm on my church volleyball team, im attacker/blocker. biggrin.gif
but we practice like 5 months for one tourney tho.
i need to get better at basketball tho..
i can practice like maybe 1-2 hours like twice a week
and i have a ball and flat ground at home

benching doesn't mean a thing, i'm 130 5'7 and bench 200.

AtomicNorthernLights
take up kyokushin, or leave sport TKD alone and try to revitalize the MuDo aspect of the art.
Judo and BJJ is also fun
