You're walking alone in the street and out of nowhere, random person faints.
He/she could be dead or just fainted. Do you just walk away? Or do you ask for help? Or do you go to them and help them?
Or do you call 911 instantly?

I like to ask questions to my friends about this. And being truthful with the answer for this question would be really good too.
I mean my friend admit that she will runaway and not help because she's scared cause it could be a joke or prank.

For me, I would go to them to see if they are okay. If they are not breathing, I call 911. Thats me o_o
It happened before. This old Chinese man he was coughing a lot. He fainted at his own store.
And you know some cruel people would just steal stuff and his money and run.

But for me, I checked to see if he was breathing. He wasn't breathing so I dialed 911.
Found out that he died from heart attack T_________T;;; He was a great old man though.
At least I called 911

I think i'd go and check it out first. Whatever you do, DON'T touch the person though. One, it could be a prank. Two, the person may have hurt their spine on their way down, and moving them may cause further injuries. I'd probably call for an ambulance.

I would see if he/she is okay. If they are having difficulties, I would try my best to help them. If not, I'd dial 911.

omg my dad tricked me before.. he was pretending he died.. T___T;; i cried afterwards though.
it was like when i was in middle school omg i hated him so much for doing that!!
he grabbed my arm and started screaming when i was about to touch his neck!!

i'm not even going to lie. i think i'd just keep walking pretending i didnt see. o.o but if i'm feeling super nice, i would stop to see if they were okay. ^^

It depends on the person...if they look decent and seriously in need of help, I would try to aid them.

If no one else is checking, I'd check and ask if the person was okay or something then call 911. It pisses me off when people just look or walk away.

I would check if the person is breathing. Just check, wouldn't touch or move the person. The person can be seriously hurt and if you move him/her, you can make it worse. If the person wasn't breathing, I would pull out my cell immediately and start calling 911. If I don't have my cell with me, I would honestly run down the streets, screaming out for help. I know it's...kinda bad to abandon the person like that. But hey, you gotta get help. I WOULD NOT RUN AWAY. Because if the person ends up in a critical condition or worse, dead -if someone found out that you were there and you walked away, you can get some serious charges for that. Walking away and letting someone die, can be considered as murder.

it was right across the street too, i just stand there looking shock...

I would of course go and see if he/she is ok and ask if is there any help needed. It can be a prank but most of the times that this happens, people need help. I have seen many cruel people laughing is someone have fainted without knowing if this person is hurt or not and I hate that.

i don't have a cell phone so the first thing i would do is say "someone fainted!" and wait till someone come since you never know if the person is acting then they will call 911 and eventually people will start to help out

I would probably call 911 without checking it out. why am i so cold blooded in a way for not checking it out first? its because ive been reading a lot of these kid napping and rapping things and being a paranoid person i am i dont want to risk it and have that person attach me when i approach. better safe than sorry, right?

OR i will yell "FIRE" why fire? because ppl will come help save a fire. if i yell something like "OMG SOMEONE JUST FAINTED" some ppl will think that i will deal with it or something so if i yell FIRE ppl will come and when i approach them there will be witnesses.

I would go over first.

If I was the first person on the scene, I'd check his vitals. Breathing regularly and pulse.

I would only move the person if he needed CPR or something like that.

Then I'd tell someone to call 911.

I am a very calm person (been in crisis b4 couple times and proven this) I will call 911 and then go check on the person to see whether still alive <haha> I will go get help after checking that person out. ^^

But seriously, Who would play around like that? I'd be so scared. I would run over to see if they're ok. If they don't answer me, I'd call 911.

see if the person is still alive while looking for his/her wallet.. to look for money.. *cough* .. i mean some IDs... so that I can give infos when I call 911

I'll run over and ask them questions to see whether they are still conscious.
If I receive no answer, I'll call for emergency and they will instruct me on what I should do in these type of situations.

BTW, who cares if its a prank - at least it shows I have a kind heart.

As some people mentioned, I wouldn't touch the person. It could be a prank or I might hurt them. Also, it might be someone who's trying to attack you. I'd probably freak out and call out for help, or I'd call 911 while keeping an eye on the person. Who cares if it's a prank, at least there was a possibility to save someone. :\

I'd call the ambulance. The ambulance should be called whether thje person is faking or not, just in case.

I would check the person out, if he/she is badly injured, then I would call the ambulance. Otherwise, I would just help he/she up and everything is back to normal.

I would help them and call 911 immediately.. especially if it was a really cute guy ( I'd help a girl too )

If I was sorta far, I'd call out and ask if the person's ok. If I don't get a response, I'll check for a pulse and dial 911 at the same time.

I'd attend to the emergency, perform any medical exercises such as CPR whilst I ask an associate or bystander to contact 000 (911 in Australia).

From other emergencies, I've saved my father's life 3 times, all from using the Hiemlich maneuvere.

I would check to see if they where alright, I would only move them if they were in immediate danger or are having convulsions or throwing up. I would not approach them from the side in case it was a prank. I would call 911 immediately if I had a cell and call for help either way. I'd check if they are breathing and if they have a pulse. If they weren't breathing I'd do CPR or find someone else to help until the paramedics arrived.

Whatever you do, don't run away and not call the police. Because if something bad did happen it could mean they die, and if they are faking they should get in trouble anyway - it's none of your fault. If you're afraid it could be a prank just call 911, people shouldn't be pulling that kind of stuff anyway.
