Important Notices
-- today is the start of the official SMTOWN collaboration!!!

basically, there are no soloists
Even if your pick of songs is by a solo singer, it will be split up. So, after putting down your interest
form, I will take the lyrics and split them into at least 2 parts. Then, I will upload the lyrics
up and then you can pick a color choice (indicating the parts that you will sing) Then you will record
that part only and PM it to me with the audition form, as your audition. I will then decide if you are
qualified or now. Before you put down your interest form, you should check out the 'collab songs'
to see if the song of your choice is already up for running. If it is, just do the same thing, download
and sing the part that you want.

01. Post in this thread with your 'interest form'
(there is no need for an interest form if the song is already on the collab list)
02. I will split the lyrics of the song hopefully within the next two days
03. Then, you can decide on the part you want
04. With the 'audition form', you pm your recording part to me
(your audition clip is not the official clip, if you make it, you must re-record)
05. After all the parts are taken, I will mix the song and post it up on our official soundclick


Further FAQ

There are already threads for SNSD and DBSK, so is this thread gonna have them too?
No, since their official thread already exists, the only songs that will involve SNSD or DBSK is
their songs from the SMTOWN albums.

Is there a permanent person for this collaboration?
No, unlike the collaboration group of SNSD started by ARANGEL, this is rather similar
to the collaboration group of DBSK started by Iccyn. You audition for the part that you want.

Are there going to be solos?
This is something people are confused on, THERE ARE NO SOLOS!
Even if the artists you pick is BoA, Zhang Li Yin, or other soloist, the song
will be split into ATLEAST 2 parts

How will the parts be assigned?
I will take the romanized lyrics and try to split them evenly between people

What about the instrumentals?
If there are professionally done instrumentals, then I will use them, if not, vocal cuts
will be the solution. Note that if you decided to participate in a song but after much tryout,
the vocal cut instrumental does not come out nicely, the collab would be canceled and the
song will be taken down.

The song is too high or low for me, can I just sing it how I want to sing it?
NO! Be considerate of the people you are working with. PM them or message them in anyway you like,
or message me and I will contact them and work something out. If it doesn't fit your taste no matter what,
you can always try for another song.

How many collaborations can a person participate in?
SMTOWN is huge, so as many as you want ^^ unless it's too much and I have to stop you O.O

Uh... all the songs that I want to sing, or the parts I want are all taken!
No worries, sign up for the next round of collaboration or the next, until you are happy ^^ We can
collab the same song for a hundred times until everyone has done what they want.

What do you look for in the audition?
I look for pitch accuracy, decent pronunciation, tone quality overall
You have send it acapella or not, as long as I can hear your voice clearly
If I reject you as a participant, I'm sorry.
