Cashmere Mafia will follow the lives of four ambitious and sexy women, who've been longtime best friends since their days at business school, as they try to balance their glamorous and demanding careers with their complex personal lives by creating their own "boys' club" (The Cashmere Mafia) to protect each other and discuss their personal ups and downs as they try to have it all in New York City.

when does it air? i've been waiting for it to come out.....it looks really interesting. lucy liu looks great!

It's been done over and over and over again. But I adore Lucy Liu so I might check it out. Although I feel like it'll be cancelled quickly, but I was totally wrong about Desperate Housewives.

i remember there was a big debate/comparison between this and lipstick jungle. i've seen the pilot for lipstick jungle and it looks promising, but i DO like bonnie sommerville and frances o'connor. i'll probably check out the show to see which one(s) i'd rather watch.

Ack. I never was a fan of Sex & the City and I'm getting tired of all these stereotypical female-centric shows spawning ever since Desperate Housewives got popular. They rub me the wrong way.

I watched the preview on ABC and I'm so excited for this series.
It's too bad it'll be overshadowed by Sex and the City and seen as some kind of copy.

I love Lucy Liu. I'm excited for this, and she's the reason why, but she can do so much better than this...
And Miranda Otto! Her American accent is awesome.

But you never know!! We'll just have to see.

I'd pick Lucy Liu any day over Brooke Shields. I can't stand her.

i did see the first ep of lipstick jungle and found it not as appealing as cashmere mafia...

saw it yesterday, and it looks promising. it was kind of hard to tell with it being the pilot and all, but i'll definately tune in for the second ep.

Saw that last night. It's okay, it's just that I think Bonnie Somerfield is a tad too young to actually being in the group. Eventhough it says that the girls been bestfriend for 15 yrs

^ it airs on Sundays at 10PM. Right after Desperate Housewives. I caught this after DH. And it was interesting... I'm not sure how I feel about it right now. I guess I'll just have to catch another episode, I guess.

I mean... an engagement, call off engagement, lesbian discovery, cheating and revenge, all rolled into one episode? Wow. haha.

i watched the pilot. seems okay. can't tell much from it though. would have to watch more episodes. although, miranda otto was amazing. hehe.
it's moving to wednesdays @ 10...so episode 2 will be on this wednesday.

i liked S&TC, except it did get pretty irritating at times. ok, we get it. you women have A LOT OF SEX. that was the whole premise.

cashmere mafia reminds me of S&TC, and i totally agree with you, for some reason shows like these make me kind of annoyed. but i am sick of what's on tv lately, so i'm gonna watch lol

The storyline is quite intriguing and their lifestyles seem very interesting.

I think its pretty interesting, a whole lot of drama, even in the first episode.
I definitely reminded me of the whole desperate housewives/sex in the city vibe, but I still like it.
I love how all the women have an active career, and are very successful.
Hahaha, for the second episode, just as my dad went up, one of the women starts making out with another woman at the bar, and I'm like...o.o Thank god my dad wasn't there...xD
I will most likely be tuning in for future episodes.

yea..I got this show confused with "Lipstick Jungle"..both show titles make me cringe..but then so did "Desperate Housewives" and I ended up liking it..all the female leads are really great in this though...did anyone notice the entrance to Zoe's kids' school is the same as the one they film in "Gossip Girl?" haha. I think this is my new guilty TV pleasure but it kinda irks me already since it's overly polished..almost every character in the show looks so airbrushed PERFECT 24/7 it's pretty unrealistic..and like someone else said, Bonnie Somerville looks so much younger than the other 3 leads (maybe because in real life she IS like, 7 years younger than everyone else) yet they supposedly all went to business school together...and do all these shows HAVE to have a pale-skinned, b*tchy red head? hahaa. Juliet is awesome but her mannerism is over the top and cheesy sometimes..like the scene where she is walking into the benefit dinner with the red dress in slow motion and this girl-power song is playing in the background..major cheese factor LOL..but again I say, my guilty pleasure since SATC is gone.

i think the series is a bit steoreotypical..... in some aspect. I love the idea but the way it is portray might offend a lot of people. it's good to be bold but you gotta show some respect to "the stay at home mom" the "lesbian" and man. It doesn't explore the other side of the story.
BUt I like it just because I found myself able to relate to these "modern" woman. I love the story and the personalities of Juliet, eventhough i find her a bit 'out of it'

i watched today's episode and to my surprise i actually really liked it.

at first i was all like, i not watching this coz it's trying to be sex and the city but it's actually not.

lucy liu is hands down the best actress in this show though, i really love her even more and the asian guy (the brain surgeon) forgot his name, was really cute. he and lucy liu had great chemistry, that's the kind of relationship i like, playful, fun, but there is passion. lol.

i don't really like the story of the red-head women, it's too boring. i like the lesbian's and the other brunette and of course, lucy liu's... i can do without the other girl

that asian guy was really cute and lucy liu looked really nice ont he last scene her hair and make upw as flawless

jason chung! lol... i love her outfit at the end, where she sees her ex again. but i wish the brain surgeon would stay longer in the show. i hope lucy liu's character wouldn't have relationships like carrie bradshaw.. one of her dresses was really weird.

i was sad to see next week's preview did not have the hottie brain surgeon in it =( he's also from Grey's Anatomy! but he isnt as cute there. this week's episode was bland though..i actually like all of the women's storylines but the semi-lesbian chick's isn't played out convincing enough.

Lucy Liu definitely has the best fashion in this show. Some of her clothes are amazing, but a little unrealistic. If someone in real life wore those to work, I'd be a little :S

I agree. Like when the Man nanny (for got what his name was) was showing Lucy his portfolio and she was wearing that orange outfit, I wanted to rip off that outfit because it was just so hideous. But some of the outfits that she does wear are nice. I think the only person's fashion that I can relate to on the show is Caitlin's.

WOW i am ADDICTED lol i watched the first five episodes in one day.
I love all the characters.
The beginning had a couple of boring parts but now i love every scene!!!
lucy liu wears some wack ass clothing though...

i saw the episode where mia/jason meet for their date and the episode after that....
love it so far but prob. watching from the beginning will make more sense..
i like the manny guy but mia is with jason..
i want them to last!

Lucy Liu has the worst fashion sense - no joke. There are just way too many ridiculous outfits that she wears in the show it's GAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Anywho. Other than that, the show is pretty addicting. That Manny was HOT. OH BOY.

But i really like it! It's interesting and fun! Can be abit overboard but I like the idea of powerful women!!
