Plot:
Step Up 2 the Streets is the follow-up to Step Up (2006). When rebellious street dancer Andie (Briana Evigan) lands at the elite Maryland School of the Arts, she finds herself fighting to fit in while also trying to hold onto her old life. When she joins forces with the school's hottest dancer, Chase (Robert Hoffman), to form a crew of classmate outcasts that will compete in Baltimore's underground dance battle The Streets, she ultimately finds a way to live her dream while building a bridge between her two separate worlds.

There is a special guest appearance by Channing Tatum, who starred in the first Step Up movie as Tyler Gage, the brother of Andie.

ooo, i saw the previews to this the other day! it looks pretty good! i always have to go watch the dance movies! :DDDDD hopefully it'll beat the first Step up, and also Stomp the Yard (love that movie)

dance movie plots are always so-so, haha, so hopefully this'll be good

the only reason why i want to watch this movie is because of the dancing.
other than that i dont think the movie line is all that good.

I am excited to watch this for the dancing, I think it will be an okay movie.

I will definitely be watching this movie just for the dancing. LOL. The storyline sounds predictable.
But I think the posters pretty. It looks computer-animated...like Final Fantasy-ish.

Ahh... -___-;; I didn't really like the first Step Up that much. The dancing was OKAY, but otherwise.. yeah.
I dunno how I feel about this one. LOL. But, knowing me, I'll prolly go watch this movie anyway, just to see the dancing.
I hope the dancing is better than it was in the first movie. (: (That's basically what dance movies are for... not for the plot, but for the dancing. LOL.)

Eh.. it looks okay. I'd probably only watch Step Up 2 for the dancing.

It was Andie!! Was all ok after Tyler said, "Look who's all grown up now" Made my sis and I suspicious about her. Looks pretty good. Andie and Tyler could of been separated by the foster care ? *shrugs shoulders*

don't get me wrong I love to watch dancing like no tommorrow

but this movie looks so stupid to me
the first Step Up was so corny to me because Channing isnt a natural dancer

and this one just looks annoying
bet it's just another cliche dance movie where people look down on an outcast and then there is always that one person that's like
"She has so much potential blah blah blah" and then they end up falling in love

and they should have got some "actual" street dancers for this and not just ones who rely on choreograpy

i was really turned off by this since the original cast wasn't coming back- channing tatum's small appearance does not count- and i did not plan on watching this at all.
but for some weird reason i kinda really wanna watch this now. darn commercials. :]

ahhh I love Robert Hoffman. But I hope for dear life that he isn't going to get all gangster on us with the "Dawgs" and the "Yo waddups". Channing Tatum just pushed the limit, I don't know if I can handle if Robert did the same O_O hahaha

And seriously, whats year gap b/w Step up and Step up 2? Cause Andie was such a young little girl in the first one. LOL And look at her now.

My friend told me she's Tyler's childhood friend..they live in the same neighbourhood.. explains why he calls her sister cos they're so close? I'm not sure..but surely it's not his foster sister..cos her name's Camille..

I have friends who refuses to see it because Channing Tatum's not in it.
Or because the old cast isn't a part of it.
But the way I see it is...If they used the old cast for the new sequel, what are they gonna do?

I really thought Channing did a good job in the first one, but in this second one Robert Hoffman is the lead and he actually was originally a backup dancer. I looked it up on Wikipedia (b/c I was curious to see what he has done) and it said..

"He had minor roles as a dancer in several films, including From Justin to Kelly, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, Coach Carter and You Got Served, for which he shared an American Choreographer Award. Hoffman has worked as a dancer with Christina Aguilera, Usher, Mýa, Marilyn Manson and Ricky Martin, serving as his dance double in a music video."

Looks like with his dancing background, he won't disappoint!

Ya, you are right..Camille is Tyler's sister. Andie is just LIKE a "little sister" to Tyler. My friend saw a sneak preview and she said it was awesome. She said Channing is just at the beginning and it like a family friend who knew Andie when she was "in diapers"...if that makes sense. The movie was supposedly really good cause my friend is coming with me this wkend to see it for the second time.
