I have an invisible shield for my ipod touch a complete body wrap.
But the problem is it wont fit my crystal case anymore

Anyways I like to just protect the screen then get any case I like because some times those cases can block the dings and all that but sometimes the parts that cover the screen can cause annoying scuffs. I guess not a issue with the cases you're considering but nice to consider.

i dont have a nano but i have a video and a touch. i just use a screen protector + silcone with it. it does a nice job of protecting against scratches and its less intrusive than a full hard case. problem is that it attracts dust like mad... i suppose theres ups and downs to each cover.

i think a crystal case would be good too.

i have a nano (the old kind) and i have this leather thing that completey covers the whole ipod.
including the wheel. i like it a lot eventhough most of my friends get annoyed because they cant use the wheel very well because there's plasitc on it. (only for me! >D)
but its a good cover because it covers the WHOLE thing and if i take it out, there are no marks anywhere.
besides, i bring my ipod everywhere so its a bit scruffy. ^^
the leather case holds it very well too. doesnt attrach dust or get sweaty or anything. :D

i heard the ipod sock is nice (and expensive) but when your using your ipod, you have to take it out of the sock (naturally).

if you only have those choices, id defintily got with the plastci case.

just the screen cover will do fine.
if u have a clear case over it, it will be thicker and less cool

I highly recommend the InvisibleShield (http://www.invisibleshield.com), especially if you're already cautious about not dropping your iPod and get sick of using an actual case. I'm really careful with mine, so I don't need to get a bulky case. I just have a little pouch I put it in.
