hi fellow soompiers~
im not too sure if this is the right place to be posting this X_x;;;

anyways... my friend Sylvia Liu, from Milpitas High, has been excepted into a really good art school down in southern california!
she is one of the most talented artists i know! even though she got accepted... she doesnt have enough money to pay for her tuition there.... Sylvia really needs this scholarship so if you guys would please help her out and vote for her at this site,

Sylvia is going against 200+ other people, all of the people listed on that site for the competition deserves that scholarship but only one can be chosen~ so please help her to a better future and vote for her =]
the scholarship competition is a 6 week voting thing~ votes get reset to zero every week, and for her to be able to stay in the competition, she has to be top 64, 42 and so on~ so please vote for her every week if you can

btw~ you can vote for other people if you believe that its bias that u just go ahead and vote for her without reading other people's profiles~ but u can still vote for her if you voted for someone in another group~

if i get accepter into UCSF pharmacy school (ranked #1) will people vote for me as well? i'll promise to use whatever i learn to save lives and impact the community on a personal basis.

yo man... if she cant afford it right now, she can always take out loans (provided she has a cosigner) or scholarships. good luck... i bitterly and reluctantly voted for her even though i think i also deserve a $20000 scholarship. but whatever... best wishes

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing. She'd have an unfair advantage by having a friend who has access to a message board with a huge member base.

i do hope she gets it, but what about her second year?
the first year may go fine, but what about the 2nd year tuition?
i just dont her to have to go there the first year,
and struggle to pay for the second, you know?

whats wrong with him asking us to vote for his friend. candidates campaign for votes, and he just campaigned to get ours. voted for your friend. for the simple fact that idunno anyone in the competition and it's you who asked me (part of the soompi community) to. also her work is good as far as i see it.

So, what's the name of the art school she got accepted too? [Or am I blind?!] My brothers an artist as well, her work is pretty impressive, but when you're trying to persuade people to vote for you, you need a "speech" like Hye Jin Lee! She's extremely impressive, recruited by Yale, Drexel, Vanderbilt....wow!

i know her and i have to say that she's one of the most down to earth people i've ever met (not to mention incredibly skilled!). she's really everyone's friend and i think she deserves the scholarship no matter what anyone says. i voted every chance i got! (:
