Hm. This game wasn't in the gaming index, so I'm making a new thread

Has anyone heard of this game before?
It's like a mystery-ish game filled with a whole bunch of puzzles.
I just finished this game!! Mostly because of this
walkthroughThe cutscenes were pretty awesome for a DS game! It was like watching an anime :]
the plotline was interesting too;;

It looks pretty kiddy, but the puzzles are so freaking hard for it to be a kid's game

yup, this game makes me feel dumb. especially when the answer is something obvious i overlooked or when i try using math to solve a problem and realize that you don't need it at all.
still, do even half of these puzzles have anything to do with the storyline? they feel like they're just put in for the hell of it. it kinda annoys me...

Finished the game with 100% completion. ;D
(no walkthrough, either!)
Sexcellent game for the DS and highly, highly recommended to anyone who has a DS and enjoys brain teasers/puzzles.

I used this when I played the game:
http://professorlaytonwalkthrough.blogspot.com/
It's presentation is the best out of all the walkthroughs I've seen..
I'm so pissed off. I finished the game already but I didn't get to do the carnival puzzle, and so the carnival chased me down and there's no longer the option to take the puzzle =.=
Wasted 7 hours for nothing haha

Sort of defeats the purpose of the game to use a walkthrough doesn't it? After all, it's all brain teasers and you don't even have to do them all.
And you have tons of hint coins (which make the answers ridiculously obvious in some cases) and you even get an additional hint for getting the answer wrong... Oh well.
I still haven't managed to do all the additional puzzles yet but I did get all 120 regular puzzles done.

Yeah, I really hope most of you avoided using walkthroughs as much as possible.
I don't even see how you can fully enjoy this game while using walkthroughs.
For me, I'd rather get stuck on a puzzle and work on it for a few days, before using a walkthrough.
It'd be a lot more satisfying in the end.
Anyways, finished all 135 puzzles with no walkthrough, in a little over a day.
Got a little too hooked to it.
An awesome game for anyone who enjoys brain teasers.

I only used the walkthrough for about 5 puzzles.
It was a good game. =]
Can't wait for the sequels.

does anyone have any screen shots of the puzzles? i would love to put it on my xanga for any of my readers to solve. x]
the puzzles are really hard but i'm trying to do them without any stragedy guides or walkthroughs. just my boyfriends help and the hint coins. x]

If it's not at the old lady's house it means that the puzzle is still active and you can still find it through the normal ways.
Might be a hidden puzzle or whatever. I remember I couldn't find a few puzzles and I went through all the locations and poked everywhere. I eventually found my last puzzle in the sewer.

does completing the gizmo, inn, or painting really do anything? cuz i'm in the tower now and i don't really feel like hunting down which puzzles will let me complete it.

Completing Gizmo gives you a dog which sniffs out hint coins and hidden puzzles for you, in addition to unlocking additional puzzles. The Inn and Painting puzzles unlock additional puzzles.
Completing all the additional puzzles unlocks even more puzzles
