Hi~

I want to start a dance club at my school next year (my junior year) because our dance team is kinda wacked up (their outfits suck xP)

The club is going to be hip-hop style, but we can add some jazz and stuff to it.

But I need help.
I don't know where to start.

I know how to start a club at my school
but I think it would be better if it were a part of a bigger organization
This way, I won't have to do as much work and the members would have a better time
since I'm already the founder and co-founder of several other independent clubs
so is there a bigger organization for starting a dance club (like Key Club does)?

I heard of some thing called "Connection" or something like (maybe spelled like Connexion or w/e)
but when I tried to google it, nothing came up.

So if you have a hip-hop dance club at your school, please tell me how the people are running it?
I need ideas~ T^T

at my highschool
we just had a advisor and our advisor was the school dance teacher and she's in charge of our schools 3 dance teams (dance drill ,orchesis, all male dance)

key club is like national so i wouldn't know how to get approval and stuff

well shouldnt you establish your club first
and then hold tryouts? or however you get people to join clubs

i'm kinda vague about this, sorry hahah i've graduated highschool already so yeh

my dance teacher doesn't really run it, she's just in charge of like finding competitions we can go to and seeing how our routines were, and we had a period with her which counted as PE/elective credits
our captain and cocaptain were in charge of holding practices and make our routines clean and have a chance at placing ^^;;~

My friend is pretty sure there's something like "Connections" or something like that for dance team (but I heard it doesn't really do anything, just a network for dance teams or whatever, so we don't really care about that right now)

That's the main goal of our club, is to compete and perform.

We can just perform at our school, so that part's taken care of, but we cannot find any competitions.

PDURRR~ thanks for your response! Did the dance teacher teach the team anything, or was she just an advisor? We are going to hold auditions at the start of next year, but we need to get all the information first so we can plan our team. My friends and I are currently working on a routine, so the dance part is left to us. But we don't know anything about administrating and managing a team >.<
Any advice?
