hi! okayy so i havn't bought a new camera for like, 5 yrs, andd wanted to get one for my 18th bday smile.gif i'd like to get cameras b/wn $200-$300, but i have no clue which ones are good >.<
i know NOTHING about taking pictures, and won't be using this camera for taking super great pictures and all.. i just want a cute one that works the best for its price! :]


i'm thinking of picking b/wn one of these cameras:

i like sony, so i'm sticking to this brandd, BUT if u guys think another point and shoot model's better and in my price range, please lemme know too!! =]

Um, none of them? Canon cameras are the way to go for point and shoots smile.gif But if you must, T70 because it is the slimmest.

andd i was looking at the newest canon powershot SD1100, andd it has the same price as the sony W150 but sony has better mp, optical zoom, & LCD screen haha.. (i didn't bother to look at other stuff..) is canon really THAT good..?

I think it's because that is Canon's smallest camera model - size affects price and specs. The W150 is a lot bigger I think. If you wanted, you could get the SD1000 which was the previous version (it doesn't have IS though) - I found it for $170 on-line... If you decide to get a PowerShot, as long as it has IS, it's all good... I used to use Sony because they are prettier but I like Canon now because they take better pictures.

all i have to say is.. not the first one. i have one.. and uhh.. quality varies and i think it's a really iffy camera

as much as looks are important on devices, when it comes to a camera you should be concerned about getting the best image quality.

go for a canon, if not then nikon.
