I don't drive, nor have my license..people always look at me funny when I say this..

I don't live in a city..just in a small town with not much.. So I rely on a Busing service that is meant for old or handicapped peoples....

Anyone else not drive?

*raises hands*

I regret it very much to not to use this 3 months of holiday to learn how to drive and i'm scared of heavy traffics.
And i'll be in US soon next week, i can't drive T_T , i could only use buses and i heard the public transport in US is very inconvinient.

I haven't even got a license dry.gif.......

SOMEONE TEACH ME!!! or maybe drive me to school everday...haha =p

*rants*

Edit:
btw, nice avatar<33 CJ7 is so cute, wanna pinch it.
Busing service for handicapped people crazy.gif , it's a weird description since there are many healthy young people using it.

Yeah I have a license and a car. It's nice having a car but it annoys me a lot when it's totally obvious that people want to befriend me just so they can score rides dry.gif

hellotiffy
i have a car and a license but i'm usually too lazy to drive. laugh.gif then again, it's always convenient to not have to rely on someone else.
akira53
I got my license when I was 16 so I've been driving since high school. I carpool with my sister and mom to school everyday to save gas.
Other than that, I drive everywhere...I never walk anymore unless it's around campus.
PDURRR
i have my license

i have to drive my mom to work if i needa drive to school..T__T

I got my license when I was 18, which is considered pretty darn late. And then I got my car right before I turned 20.. cuz I realized I couldn't really survive college without one

same here. I'm lucky cuz I have my sister drive when I'm too tired or lazy
felinius
I drive ... simply because it's so inconvenient in California not to. I tried surviving here without a car for 4/5 months and I felt so trapped. Bus services here sucked. tongue2.gif
suzic87
I have a liscence and it took me ages to get one ha!

but i dont have a car just cos:

A: I hate driving cos there are some nutters on the road and I get road rage
B: Its soooooooooooooo expensive in England, you have to pay for car, insurance, tax, petrol, breakdown blah blah blah and well I can walk everywhere in uni so its ok!
DKYang
I have a license and a car. I would never take a bus here simple because the waiting time is ridiculous between each interval. I would rather not drive though if I could because it feels like work which I'm not getting paid to do. I used to be happy that I could drive around, but now I wish I could just walk to the stores.
josebiwasabi
i can drive but i have no car

parking and gas is so expensive in LA, plus the insurance rates for 20yo males is insane.
thtlam
I have a license and a car, but my car is only use whenever I drive home to visit my parents otherwise it's park at my apartment and I take the bus to school everyday
photodaisy
I can drive but I live in the city now so I don't really need a car and it's freaky driving in the city especially during the winter. o__o;;; So yeah. But when I'm at my home w/ my family, I drive around because we don't have any public bus services in my little town.

I occasionally ride the bus but I prefer walking...LOL.
yeuthuong
i have my license but i don't like driving! it scares me sometimes biggrin.gif so i usually have my sister drive me around and she's younger than me. keke. i only drive when i need to. but since i'm in college, i don't have a car and i just walk wherever i need to go since everything's conveniently located. smile.gif
Evaaa
yup! since 18 im 21 now....and my friends at JUST getting thier licenses damn!
rubyx
I have my license, and I haven't driven since I took the test. That was a year ago. My dad won't pay for my insurance. Also, since parallel parking between two cars wasn't on the test, I never learned how to park.
pepprmint
i know how to drive, and i do drive around every once in a long while, but i dont have a license, im still stuck with my permit x]
i was in the process of getting my license, and i aced all my lessons, but living in a city with public transportation, i never need a car....so my license is currently lost in translation somewhere
YeHae_OCEAN
I drive, but gas is expensive, so most of the time I'll just ride with my older sister. I'm looking for a new car right now anyways, besides I have road rage because people here in MA can't drive for s...........
vvn
Yeah I have a license and therefore I can drive.

But I only drive to work, never to school 'cause parking passes are hecka expensive!
szejia
I drive, but i'm sick of driving. Because I'm driving, people think i'm a freaking free taxi. sad.gif I pay parking, tolls, petrol and what not.

And when i make a mistake, they criticize me for it.

.
.
.

Driving's overall convinient though. you can go out more often. Do groceries. That kinda stuff. The downside is, you use more moolah.
Antz
i can't OFFICALLY drive yet, but i'm taking lessons. probably at least 5 more lessons before i take the test, i reckon. but i'm really scared, i'm not really that good yet but i've been driving for a few months now. it sucks cuz i haven't been able to practice, so it's taking longer for me (not to mention more money.. ugh). no one is bothered to help me practice.
BL!NG
my family doesn't want me to drive so I won't face any traffic problems and stuff... so we have a private driver dry.gif
dehoot
It's better you don't drive.
But I suggest you at least learn.
It's a really important skill at the moment in case of emergencies etc.
Not only that....
Drivers licenses are used for identification.
It's the number one form of ID that people use/expect.

I have a driver's license, but I'm trying my best not to drive my car. biggrin.gif Yay for stinky buses with old people!
Pink*
I drive and I also have a car but I don't like driving plus the gas is soo expensive.
6april6
i've had my drivers license since i was 16, i drive pretty much everywhere.

i hate taking public tranport sleep.gif
<3 Kim
Me, I can't drive yet.
My mum and bf have been nagging me for ages to go get my Learners
but I'm too lazy to and want to study first
I'm fine with taking the bus, and if I do get my liscense its not like I'm gonna drive anyway, I don't have enough money to buy my own car and pay for fuel myself ><
aiwae
i know how to drive but since i go to school 2 hrs away in a very small town i feel no need to drive. plus what other people said, other people will take you as a driver and ask you to drive them places which is annoying
aznstarlu
aww i know how it feels to have a lisence but no car. most of my friends have that

and for me? i cant drive...yet
im trying to get my permit. which i semi-failed yesteday. :{

but that's okay theres no pressure but i really wish i drove sooner than now.
Strawberry_girl
I have my license for like... 5 months already. Woah! Time goes by so fast =P
Over here, we have to be 18 to get drivinglessons. So I was like: yay! finally ^-^
Its fun to drive. Love to drive all by myself, my music loud && sing a long. Anyone love this feeling too?
maydai3333
i cant drive. or i can but i only have my permit. lol. i passed my road test yesterday, so all i have to do is wait till my birthday to get my license. im literally starting a count-down. 136 more days. lol.
kween x jenn
I have a license, but don't have my own car yet. Honestly however I think not having a car is fine too. I kinda feel like going into the dorms cause that's where you meet everyone.. plus you get to save a bunch on gas money or insurance tongue.gif
Kaniel
I have my N, and during the weekdays I drive my mom's minivan. Lol I'm that cool.
★jace★
now that i live on a hilltop, i appreciate cars/vans sooo much. all the groceries/books/randoms i have had to lug up stairs and steep slopes...its a good way to lose weight, i suppose. but other times i just feel like dropping everything and rolling down the slope.

so i have decided that im gonna go get my license asap, so that i can 'split' a car with my friends and we dont have to do collective groans whenever we have to go downtown for groceries or anyother stuff. and we can do ROADTRIPS!!!!

You say that now, but watch when you get your license and have your own car, driving is very boring. Roadtrips, sure, but its expensive...and the gas is as well! Most of the time, you're busy working to pay for your car and insurance, so driving really isn't what you'd expect it to be once you actually drive and own a car. It's the complete opposite.

Still a pretty sweet ride. My friend has the same car and even though I have my own (waaay crappier car), I'll always try and score a ride to places. haha

I drive, I think it's almost impossible not to in southern california unless you're really up to snuff with bus schedules. I hate the traffic but I just turn on some music to get through it. Gas is starting to be a killer too..
SouthernBelle82
At first I didn't and just got my license this past year so I know how you feel having been there in the past. I love driving because if class gets out of early I don't have to rely on anyone to come and get me and wait around for my ride and I like being able to go get food if I want and things like that. It's just nice to be able to have that freedom and to rely on just myself for transportation. My town isn't big but it's not small either so it's still nice to have a car even if there is transportation around. I can understand though why you wouldn't want to deal with a car especially if you can walk or bike ride to most places.

Oh don't worry. I was nervous at first with driving too. My parents signed my brother and I up a couple of years ago for this driving class at my college but I didn't get my license until a couple years later just this last year and then my dad took me to this empty lot to do a few things and after that I just drove on the road like anyone else with my permit and a person up front with me (since that's the law and all). I got my permit in April and my license in mid July on my bday. My first time on the highway and interstate I was nervous especially passing those big delivery trucks but after the first two times I'm now fine and it doesn't bother me. I just go the speed limit and don't worry about people passing me.
