My boyfriend and I got into a little debate about our cars...

I prefer having front wheel drive... hence me driving a Honda...

But he prefers having rear wheel drive... hence him driving a 300zx...

And both of us like all wheel drive, but neither of us really like cars (subaru) with all wheel drive...

How about you?

--Edit--(03.16.08)

I'm not a racer or anything... more of just a spectator...

...but what makes RWD so amazing? What do all of you have? (I've never driven a RWD car so I don't really know what it's like)

I have FWD but the reason I like my car is the gas mileage... I drive far distances practically every weekend and gas prices are hateful...

ahah this discussion is funny.. although i agree wit most people here.. rwd/awd is the way to go.. each has its own advantages over the other.. but most sports cars are rwd..
motconkhinho
lol @ running shoes.

heres my contribution , rwd is the most fun to drive
Laxntiga
I think it depends...... for example if I had a 3,500 lb benzo and a 2k lb tuned out eg6 civic, i'd take the FWD.

BUT! Over all!

RWD>ALL

If you don't worry at all while driving in the rain, then you're definitely brave smile.gif

Tell you the truth. A RWD based car will have no problems in the rain long as you do know how to drive. From experience, I did drive a 1990 RX-7 GTU from Kittery, Maine to Clarksville, Tennessee with make-shift brake lines with heavy downpour on the way and never had any problems with hydroplaning. The only thing that slowed me down was the highest speed setting for the wiper interval weren't fast enough to keep up with the rain. An AWD will not make you the best driver. I've seen a kid with 2002-03 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon have trouble driving in the snow in Groton, CT; which I fared better in my 1990 Honda Accord LX. So, yes, it's all based on knowing how to drive.

Rear Wheel Drive, just personal preference.

why am i brave? because i know my tires arent bald? in normal rain driving it doesnt matter what drive train you have, tires are the most important thing. as long as you dont smash the gas around corners you'll be fine with rwd

knowing how to drive > awd
knitoe
^ i agree 100%. tires and brakes are two of the most important things for a car! (aside from it running and all...) so many people skimp out on tires and run them down till they are rolling on the metal shroud. they then wonder why their cars lose control and wreck when the weather changes...

speaking of rwd in adverse weather conditions here is my saturday drive in my friends s2000
