I didnt see in the anime/manga list there was thread...so i'm making one xD

Summary of the story [from wikipedia]:



Hikari Hanazono has always been second to Kei Takishima. When they were six years old, their pro-wrestling loving fathers introduced them to each other. Assuming that she was the best in wrestling, young Hikari challenged Kei to a wrestling match only to be thoroughly defeated by him.

Ever since that fateful incident, Hikari swore to beat Kei in school grades, a sporting event - anything. To do this, she has enrolled in the same school as Kei since elementary. Now she attends Hakusenkan, an ultra elite school, that costs her carpenter father a lot of money. Hikari and Kei are the top two students in the school, with Kei holding firmly to that number one position. While Hikari considers Kei to be a rival and important friend, she is completely unaware that Kei loves her.

The story primarily focuses on Hikari and her constant attempts to defeat her one and only rival, Kei, and how she finds love in their rivalry.

She's quite dense with everything that concerns her, however when it comes to her friends she understands them very clear. She is ranked Number 2.

hikari's eyes is SO huge? and i think her haor could have been more dark black!

kei looks wierd? i thought he was suppose to blonde?

the anime looks......different in a way, but i still love the manga. Only if were as smart as them.

Love the manga but i can't trust that the anime would be good.

takishima is SO cute!! too bad hikaru is so freaking clueless, but shes so observant with everybody else though! gosh!

^its always like that in manga... sometimes it gets really annoying... is it even possible for someone SOOO smart and observant and knows what other people thinks very well (come on she understands other people feelings and such really fast) to be THAT FREAKING CLUELESS???? lol... well i might be overreacting... the manga is cute i like the drawing and all and later chapters and such it becomes more um... like all the other mangas ^-^ its still cute though lol

gaaahh this is one of my favorite mangas! and now the anime looks nothing like the manga.... i hope they choose good voice actors..

Some people can be very intelligent yet very emotionally dense and Hikari is one of those people.

The anime looks strange, like ~fantasygurl~ mentionned, their hair colours are completely different to what I'd imagine and the eyes O_o, it's just like the Vampire Knight anime.

I'm finally going to read this after putting it off for so long!
My friend said that it was really good so after countless urging from

I am very aware of that ^-^ but its not like shes emotionally dense... she understood other peoples feelings toward other people right away... do you remember? (i totally forgot the character's name LOL) you know the guy who likes the short hair girl... hikari knew right away he liked her... and the short hair girl she found out she likes that other guy right away too!!! isn't that a tad bit suspicious? ^-^

I love S.A. I'm anticipating the anime, but I have a feeling that it won't be too great.

@ Eddokun - Akira and Yahiro or Tadashi? @_@~ because Yahiro loves Akira but gives up on her for Tadashi since Akira loves him..
True, true...Hikari does tend to understand ours more than herself, she realises her surroundings more and so she is much less sensitive to her own feelings. Also because she and Kei have always been rivals, she's just a bit slow and thinks Kei is teasing or trying to insult her. xDD I suppose it's all for the storyline progession. But anyhow she starts to realise her feelins in like Volume 6-ish.

I just know that at onemanga you can read it online...anybody else know where u can download it?

I'm still reading it and Kei's dad reminds of Hiyo's dad in Love Monster. lol

yea great manga one of my favs. its cute and funny, plus the characters are very likable
the anime looks very different from the manga though o_o a bit weird

if you like this manga, you should also check out Kaichou wa Maid-sama. Its kind of similar

I find it quite funny how she can understand other character's and their feelings soooo well and herself is totally clueless... yes shes realizing her feelings but her confessing first will mean losing now that just irked me once again lol and the kissing part omg... now i know she is not that dumb... SHES A VERY INTELLIGENT GIRL lol ^-^ i know there are things that irks me alot but its still cute so im reading it ^-^

i love akira's character lol as for Yahiro i actually feel really bad for him... i assume you read about their past right? =( i made me feel so bad for him... but i like Tadashi too ^-^

Yes, I read about their past, I think Yahiro wouldn't be good for Akira, she's kind of wild, independent and violent. Anyway Tadashi clearly likes getting beaten-up. xP
