I find it kind of awkward when I'm eating in a group and then when you're the first to finish, you sit around watching everyone else to finish, just waiting around.
Or even when you're the last to finish, everyone is watching you eat, waiting for you to finish.

Does anyone else feel like this, or is it just me?

Yeah it is! Thats when you drink water, poke at the garnish.. eat the garnish.. and find lots of other stuff to do... lol

when i'm with my friends i'm mostly the last one to finish, i don't find it really awkward. It's not that i'm eating slow, but i have a lot to talk about.
When i'm at home i'm mostly the first one to finish...

i am almost always the first person to have eaten most of my food. i like to eat my food piping hot and its just not as good if it gets cold and gross. i never feel awkward though.

Most times I'm the last to finish. I'm a slow eater and I talk a lot. One of my friends talks a lot but he always manages to gobble up all his food quite quick. I don't find finishing the food first/last awkward or strange. Most times we're too busy talking to really notice or care that someone has finished before or after us.

it's extremely awkward!! oh my gosh.. lol. i remember one time my friends and i were just kickin it at lollicup and they decided to go eat pho, and so my friend cindy and i just sat there watching the rest of them eat since we didnt have anymore money XD and like when they finished eating, there was still one person eating and she ate kinda slow. and they were like did you even eat any!? and she felt really bad and tried eating faster cause everyone was like looking at her. i felt so badd for her and i was just like stop being so mean damn, i eat slow too haha. most of the time i just try to finish after like 2 or 3 people are done, depending on how large the group is XD

i usually finish first [if its individual meals] because im a fast eater haha. when we do family style or whatever and i know NOONE wants to take home the leftovers.. i tend to finish everything and be the last one to finish eating because i hate wasting food :[ im like their mommy/trashcan.

But when we go out to eat, depends. Sometimes I finish a bit earlier than others and sometimes I finish last.

I start doing something else like listen to music with one ear or do some reading.

i don't mind being first, because then I just talk or drink. Or just take pictures/go to the bathroom/wander sometimes. XD;

But when I'm the last... I HATE IT, because by then everyone else is watching and waiting for you so you can go, and I really hate having people watch me eat. XP It's just wierd. XDD

go out to buy some icecream, coming back and they're still eating aswell..

Haha usually in lunch i'm either last or not last. The reason why i eat slow is that I get hiccups if i eat too fast and its a pity since I've always wanted to just stuff everything in my mouth since I eat A LOT of food if i like it. Once my parents bought me and my sister korean, japanese style sushi. i stuffed one in my mouth and chewed like only once or twice and swallowed and i was like i can eat fast!!! then i hiccup ;

Most of the time I don't feel awkward, but I guess it just depends who I'm with. If it's with friends then I don't feel awkward at all but if it's with just acquaintances then yeah I feel pretty awkward cuz then I don't know what to do.
