does any ever still feel like they get into everyday situations or have encounters where people still treat you like a teenager or talk down to you? I get that sometimes because I look young. It tends to happen when i'm dressed down in sweats or jeans in casual t-shirts. But when I'm dressed up, wear high heel shoes, not necessarily like business or professional dressy but when i put more of an effort into the way I dress, I don't tend to have these encounters. I also notice that I have "modes" I get in. Sometimes I run errands, go places with my guard down in a casual mindset and get treated condescendingly. But other times when I make an effort to to be the "twenty something" mode where I'm confident in the fact that I'm in my very early twenties, making $70+ a year, I have my own car, pay my own bills and can basically take care of myself without relying on other. and its when i'm in this "mode" I feel like other people treat me better. Does anyone ever feel like when you're too nice to people sometimes they're condescding to you??

YES! i know what youre talking about. whenever i dress in casual clothes and go to the mall or department stores, no one ever approaches me to ask if i need help with anything, probably because they think i dont have money. but whenever im dressed up, like after work, they ALWAYS seem to come up to me and ask if i need help. and they always address me with "sir". especially places like best buy, which i rarely go to for those reasons. its so messed up. just last night, i was with a group of friends at a restaurant. everyone in the group makes a 6 figure salary including me. but we were looked down on because we were all young in our early 20's. it made me so mad that they could do that. but at the same time, i dont want to be showing off my money. im not going to look all rich just so i can be treated well. if businesses are going to look down on me, thats fine, im just going to go someplace else where im treated equal.
