I would think a lot of them major in something like chemistry or biology. I have a friend who just decided that he wants to go to pharmacy school and he's some sort of biology major [Neurobiology, Physiology & Behavior] at UC Davis. Do well in science courses especially ones like organic chemistry [my other friend who's at UOP for pharmacy absolutely hated that course]. Yeah! ^^ I don't know a lot. But I guess the above person got the process covered!

major in biology. college chemistry is crazy hard, so keep away from majors like biochemistry. >.<;;;;;;
be active in clubs(e.x.: pharmacy club, there should be one on campus), events(e.x.: health fairs), apply for positions for a club cabinet, etc, because pharmacy schools are harddddd to get into. especially the public ones. they want people who are all around to get into their school and know where they're going in life, not just decide in the last two years of college.
oh, and G.P.A. counts too!!
