Anybody got waitlisted for their schools? I'm placed on the waitlisted for two of my top schools - Smith College and Barnard College. I don't know whether I should be happy that I didn't get rejected or depressed that I'm on the waitlist... that means I'm good but not good enough for them. Anybody know about the process and the chance of getting accepted through the waitlist? Anything that I can do? What is the disadvantage of getting accepted through the waitlist? Tell me anything about it...

I hear Barnard isn't in a really good area =X Have you visited it? My friend did in October and her host was rude and inconsiderate, leaving her on her own. It's really urban, of course haha, really messy and dirty.
On the other hand, I hear Smith is amazing. =]
But back on topic! I was waitlisted for Washington University in St. Louis. It's a really depressing thing, but I moved on. haha
I personally wouldn't accept the waitlisting. You won't know how the financial aid is going to be, and there's not much you can do but wait.

^^ Me too! Waitlisted for WUSTL. But, hey...if they didn't want you, why should you want them. That's my philosophy throughout this college acceptance/rejection/waitlist journey. I'm sure other amazing colleges will accept you, but if you really want to go to those two colleges, maybe try and send them some stuff you've done that didn't go on your app before???
