Hello everyone!
With alot of request i have decided to put up a tutorial on how to make the cupcake bouquet, i learnt this from a friend but i'm pretty sure there are better tutorials floating out there too
But this is what i have came up with when i was walking around the craft store getting my materials!
This was my first attempt so basically i winged alot of stuff and it came out fine
I think it's a nice fresh way to surprise a friend on their special day~ mine teared up a bit when she saw it~ but most definitely this piece will be eye catching, delicious and memorable altogether!
If you have extra questions plz let me know and i will be more descriptive or try to help you out!

Materials
FOR THE BOUQUET
Generic Gardening Flower Pot
Height: 5 Inches
Diameter: 6 Inches
Styrofoam Ball (Used for flower arrangements)
Diameter: 5 Inches
1 Bag of Paper Shreds or Frillies (i don't know what you call those!)
1 Pack of colored/patterned Tissue Paper (optional you can use this to paper mashay the flower pot to give it more detail!)
1 Pack of Wired Fake Leaves (also used in flower arranging)
1 Pack of Mini Cupcake Baking Cups (it will definitely have more than 24 in each pack!)
1 Roll of Ribbon (can be fancy can be any ribbon, this is optional... if you want to paper mashay the pot you don't need the ribbon, i found the ribbon to be harder to stay on the pot so i chose to paper mashay!)
Toothpicks (to help keep the cupcakes onto the styrofoam ball)
Liquid School Glue - for paper mashay
FOR THE CUPCAKES
Mini Cupcake Baking Tray!
Delicious Cupcake Recipe! - ingredients will follow!!!
Piping Bag
1M Piping Tip
Optional Materials
Glue Gun - For adhering your ribbon or your frilly shred if you want (i didn't use one.)
Metallic Markers - Gold and Silver for decorating the rim of the flower pot, personalizing it so your friend can keep it as a souvenir

Icing Coloring - If you want to change colors of your frosting to make the roses color coordinate with your flower pot.
Let's START!
Step One:
(Please complete this ahead of time! a good week or a few days before!)
(Please complete this ahead of time! a good week or a few days before!)
Make sure you have all your materials! You can also change the size of your flower pot but make sure there is a corresponding styrofoam ball to accompany the new size
it can also be other things aside from the flower pot... i just found this one easier to personalize and cheaper to purchase! I would definitely prepare the flower pot personalizations a week before, just find a day where you feel like decorating... if you want to paper mashay just mix up equal parts of glue and water, grab a paint brush and start gluing the tissue paper on the pot! after you are done and satisfied with the desired layers set it on a box or newspaper and let it dry right side up over night!
Next day or any other day you can have fun personalizing the rim of the flower pot, i thought it looked rather plain so i thought if writing on it with metallic markers to make it nicer~ and here's the result!

Tada~~
Step Two:
(Rest of the steps are done on the day of presenting the bouquet)
(Rest of the steps are done on the day of presenting the bouquet)
Find a good cupcake recipe and icing recipe. i would advise to use a buttercream frosting because they hold up better on the cupcake!. Once you are the cupcakes are out of the oven, let them cool before putting on the icing (or else it will melt!!!) result after the bake!

Tada~
Step Three:
(while cupcakes are cooling...)
(while cupcakes are cooling...)
You can start to assemble the flower pot bouquet part. You can crumple up some paper or anything to fill the put until the ball sits nicely halfway onto the top of the pot. so if you were to look horizontally you will only see half the ball peeking out of the pot !
you can also use extra shreds or your fake grass to fill the bottom of the pot also~ i used both, paper and then the grass. once the ball is sitting nicely in the pot, just spread more shreddings on top of the ball, cupcakes will be smushing onto it so there is no need to adhere that part.
here's how it should look like!

Tada~
Step Four:
(Baking process and Assembling!)
(Baking process and Assembling!)
This is the tougher part, ince the cupcakes are cooled and the pot is ready, grab the toothpicks and eyeball where the first cupcake will be on the ball. Once you have the spot just poke the toothpick halways into the ball and you can place the cupcake nicely onto the surface half ~
After that just start building the bouquet fitting each cupcake beside each other with the toothpicks holding onto each cupcake!!!
here's how it will look like (ignore the icing part because it is easier to put the icing onto the cupcakes after you have them all nicely fitted into the bouquet!)

Tada~ (black lines are suppose to represent toothpicks T_T)
Step Five:
(Final Step!)
(Final Step!)
once you have the cupcakes set into a bouquet this is where you can make your frosting! (you can start mixing colors here too)
Put the frosting into the piping bag and practice swirls on a piece of paper first! Remember to fill the bag only halfways so you have enough room to twist the end of the bag to squeeze easier! Once you are confident enough with the swirls, then start piping the frosting onto the cupcakes!!!
TIP: if you notice the icing a little runny and not staying on the cupcakes... this can either be it's too warm or you did not make it right or add enough icing sugar to the icing... BUT if it is too warm and you did follow the recipe precisely, just put the whole mixture into the fridge for 30 minutes or so, that way it will stiffen up a bit
When finished piping you can put the wired leaves to fill the gaps in between the cupcakes that the shreds or grass hasn't covered and to also give a more realistic touch to it!!!
I found this part to be the most fun and enjoyable because most of the hardwork and dishes are washed!!! hehe
Here's the Final Results!!!

Tada~
