Full Version: Bsod !
Recently my computer has been acting up, like it started to allow pop ups and starting slowing down a bit. The reason for is probably I have been downloading a lot of keygens and software cracks. Well today after a failed attempt to rid my PC of spyware, adware and viruses, i decided to just go to a restore point. My computer was restored successfully, but it all went to hell after a couple minutes after logging in the BSOD popped up for a couple of seconds and my computer shut down. This happened before, so i just went to safe mode, but when the text was scrolling in safe mode it just stop/froze their and I've tried the same thing with safe mode with networking, going to last best config and etc. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY SOLUTIONS TO MY DILEMMA? I researched this for a good hour and no solution seemed like it would work for me. I couldn't get any information of the BSOD, due to the fact that it was shown for about 5 seconds.
If you can start it, it might be logged in the Control Panel > Admin tools > event viewer
Otherwise if it ever starts, you right click my computer > properties > I think startup and recovery tab > in one of those buttons you will find automatically restart that you can uncheck.
If all those fail, do a XP repair install should just fix windows and leave your files alone.

Let me re-emphasize myself, I cannot log into my desktop and if when the text scrolls down in safe mode it freezes up. I'm probably going to reformat my PC :\ all my porn is going to be gone : ( lol jk.

Yeah, go to the "if all else fails"... part of my reply... Do a XP repair install, that reinstalls all of the XP files and usually doesn't mess up the rest of your files unless you do something really crazy and just do a complete format instead

run knoppix live cd. you'll be able to copy all your porn to a thumb drive before you format or whatevas.
