I'm not even sure if lemon gras sis used in vietnamese pork chop..
But I want to try to figure out how to fry the vietnamese porck chop that those pho sellers often sell with rice. So the chop comes with rice and some carrot, fried egg, and some mincemeat fried with glass noodles (i think). Its very tasty.
Anyone's parents cook this pork chop very often?
I think it uses lemon grass but im not sure how to get the lemon grass into the chop......

Mince it. That's the best way to use it as a seasoning. Or another thing you can do is boil it in a small amount of water and add that to your marinade.

If you boil chicken, smash it but still have it intact. throw it in and it will make your chicken broth "oh, so scrmptious."
or as thai people use it, they put it in there laab, mix it.. its good too. there are many ways you can use lemon grass. it gives your food that "oomph".

you can marinate with it or add the lemongrass later.
i am lazy to marinate but it still comes out alright since lemongrass has such a strong flavor

oh thanks!!
but i have a follow up question... :-
if i use it once, can i reuse the stick of lemongrass?
cos when my mum uses it it comes in this big green stalk and i was thinking, hm if i boil a piece once, maybe i can boil it again or something....

I don't recommend using it more than once, cause once you boil it all the flavor has already been sucked out of the stalk. My mom and I use it alot in our cooking, whether we're boiling it with chicken or mince it up and use it in our beef salad.
