I think i'm posting at the right spot.

Well, I'm looking to find a free downloadable version of photoshop. I just looking for the basic needs to make banners, cover page for my fics, editing my pictures to make amv, etc. Nothing too fancy. I'm not very good with these kind of things so I'm hoping for some helping hand?

Please guide me to the right path, and maybe walk me through it too?

in my opinion, the best Adobe Photoshop alternative would be PAINT.NET

the user interface resembles PS abit, works better than GIMP in my opinion
