Last Friday (3-21-08), I got a ticket by the highway patrol!
He wrote me down for going 85 on a 65 (it was 5 South in Anaheim for those of you who know that freeway). Right off the Disneyland exit.
I was so sad!
Anything I need to know?
This isn't my first ticket, but any advice or options would be helpful.
From what I remember, it's $13 for every mile I was speeding.
20*13=$260 plus traffic school.
Around $300?

No help here but I didn't realize that MPH had a price such as $13 a mile. Sucks to hear man.

Can you call up Ticketbusters and have them reduce the charge?

ticketassassin.com!
Or pay and go to traffic school.
I tried to fight my ticket. The policeman said I turned a left and blocked another guy who was driving WAY passed the speed limit. If he was driving at the speed limit, I would have never even cut him off. Also, he turned the corner way too fast so I didn't see him until I completed my turn.
I went to court and lost. Oh well.

do trial by declaration. police officers dont get paid overtime as they do if they appear in court. if you are found guilty from teh trial by declaration then u can still fight it in court and hope the officer doenst show up. if he/she does then most likely ure out of luck haha

Don't pay someone to fight it for you. They usually end up just bargaining it down to a lesser fine (which they consider as a "win"). Dispute the ticket yourself. There is a good chance that the cop won't show up. I also heard that adjourning the case increases the chances that the police officer doesn't attend the court hearing. What did he/she get your speed by? Radar?

Go to court (Not the one where you fight the ticket, the one where you decide if you want to fight), explain your reasoning to the judge. He/she will either charge up to the maximum, or reduce it and may not even count it towards your record. Dress nice that day. It's worth a try.
I had a $250+ ticket that I went in for and only paid $75 for the ticket, $25 for court. I don't even know if it went on my record which I'm sure it did.
