cause the reason why is that
pretty girls go for guys who are not so great looking
showing that the guy will appreciate them
and will definitely not cheat on them, but for a hot
guy to date an ugly girl is not likely unless that guy isn't shallow
cause most guys go for looks, instead of personality =.=

Well since we're generalizing i'll say it's because women gold dig more than men. You always hear women say "i just need to marry a rich guy"...but you rarely hear a guy say they need to marry a rich woman.

^Most pretty/hot women are shallow, demanding, materialistic, intellectually dulled, loud, bossy, jerks. And yes, most pretty boys are as well...what's ironic is they're the ones that get all the women.

some girls don't care how the guy looks like. just as long as he has the personality to over power his ugliness.

i would say that some girls are afraid of dating pretty boys because most pretty boys have a lot of friends who are girls and are very flirty, etc, etc.

plus, for most of us girls, when you get to know a guy, and his personality is great, looks dont even matter anyway.

and this is my own opinion regarding what i've experienced and seen with boys around my area:

boys are competitive, they want a pretty girlfriend to show off to their friends....so their friends will be jealous! hahah.

well i learned in my psychology class that since guys main goal is to reproduce, they naturally look for attractive females to mate with. Meanwhile, on the other hand, women are meant to have babies so they have to chose a mate that is socialeconomically stable to support her and her babies. So its basically natural instincts for guys to go for more attractive looking SO while their counterpart goes for being financially stable first.

Girls are more insecure than guys and are worried that good looking guys will leave them thus they choose ugly guys.

Ugly guys generally are more richer than good looking guys.

Actually I've seen more of the ugly girl + handsome guy combo than vice versa.
Maybe it's because girls tend to look at the personality rather than the physical

Well one of our family friends is this really hot guy. He looks like Chad Michael Murray but better! xD He married this girl who's not the prettiest one of them all and she was overweight, they ended up having two kids. He treats her like a queen. It just depends on the guy, he may look like a jerk but once you actually go talk to them they can be the sweetest guys you can ever meet. For me I think it's just some guys just want girls for looks and some girls just want guys for personality, thats all.
