"Hana Kimi" SP confirmed

Last summer's "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" drama series is returning for a one-episode special. Starring Maki Horikita, Shun Oguri, and Toma Ikuta, the show was very popular, especially among female viewers. It averaged 17.3% ratings, with the final episode reaching 21.0%.

According to Fuji TV, the special will take place half a year after the series' end. With Osaka Gakuen getting ready for an upcoming Valentine's Day event, Sano (Oguri) and Nakatsu (Ikuta) reflect on the final week of their last summer vacation, which falls into the timeline of the original series between episodes 7 and 8. The special also includes a graduation scene and addresses the relationship between Mizuki (Horikita) and Sano.

Filming begins on Wednesday, but no broadcast date has been specified yet.

Hanakimi SP fuji announcement

This is FujiTV's popular series <<Hanazakari no Kimitachi e~Ikemen Paradise>> SP report. (The broadcasting time has not been set.) As a youthful drama set in a boy's school, Horikita Maki experienced her first time role as a boy and all the male actors were deemed "handsome men," including Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma, amongst other hot actors.

The story is set half a year after Ashiya Mizuki (Horikita) left Osaka Gakuen due to her identity exposure. The school is hosting a Valentine's Day event. In the interim, Sano (Oguri) and Nakatsu (Ikuta) recollect the last week of vacation that they spent with Mizuki. The story expands on this blank week. It will also explore Mizuki and Sano's love.

Having once again cut her hair, Horikitawho is challenging the role of Mizuki, said, "Although I felt nervous about whether or not I can find Mizuki's spirit again, this feeling evaporated after my hair cut. I will work hard at portraying the lively Mizuki again."

Oguri said, "I will once again act as a high school student, and I will utilize skills that had not been exposed in the series. I will work hard!"

Ikuta confidently exclaimed, "I was certain that I would meet this cast again. After the series ended, I was very happy to find all the actors lively. Because I experienced a lot of excitement in this drama, I can't wait to see everyone again and reaffirm the experience we have all gained from acting together. This show will be a holiday! When it airs, please join in on the Ikemen Holiday. I'm waiting for you, Baby!"

Honestly...I'm not expecting much more romance considering its only a ONE episode special. Too bad its not at least a 2 episode special.

I know what you mean. One episode is REALLy too short. I wish they made it to atleast 2-3 episodes or better a SEQUEL! but then it might ruin the original. But still..

It does say in the news that they'll show the romance between Sano and Mizuki so I'm still keeping my hopes up!

Although Maki looks the best with Yamapi, i like the chemistry between Maki and Shun too. I's kinda pissed the whole drama didn't have many scenes of them together until the last few episodes. I hope this time they will focus more on their relationship on this SP!
Well it seems Maki appears in lots of SP instead of the real dramas. Hopefully, she will find a good script and be back in a real drama since a short SP of Maki isn't enough for me.

Is America one of the filming sites? Mizuki-chan was in America when she read that her classmates are visiting in the vacation.

I doubt that they'll film in America because it will show scenes that occured in between episodes 7 and 8. Grr. But it would be so much better if they did film in America.

With Kurosagi Movie? If not, there isn't any confirmation that there will be a continuation or sequel for the drama/movie(though I hope there will be one) HAHAHAH

They won't be filming in America at all because the expense is a bit high and if you think about it, if they do film over here they probably have to bring all the boys from Osaka Gakuen and that's gonna be alot to handle and if they only film Sano (Shun), Mizuki (Maki) and Nakatsu (Toma) then fans for the others will think its unfair they get to go to the states so probably to be on the safe side filming in Japan with a fake scenery of sites in America is safe hehe.



She plays as Mizuki bestfriend who is an American born and speaks English. if I'm not mistaken in the anime novels, she helps Mizuki cover up as a boy is by pretending to be Mizuki gf but I read sumwhere is that she will end up with Nakatsu and some says that she and Nakatsu has a thing for each other but didn't say
