Yeah.

So, I have to write 5-7 pages of a female author.

It seems easy, riiigh?

But the thing is, my teacher doesn't want a BIOGRAPHY. She just wants on how the author's life and work are related. I don't know. And only two websites can be used as sources.

So I said, "Okay. I can do this. It doesn't seem that hard."

So, I got some info on my author and crap...

Sadly, there's not tons of information on her that J.K. Rowling would have or Maya Angelou. My author, Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, is just a college student who happened to debut in the writing field at the age of 13.

With the info I got, I only got three pages... But I put more crap in and I have a full four page report. I kind of want to shoot myself for choosing a lesser known author...

Any ideas? Inspiration? Suggestions? Comments? Questions? Jokes? Requests? Life experiences?

Give me something people. T_T

usually when this happens to me, i just make up a bunch of stuff and add it in. and i end up repeating a lot of things i said before but in different wording. maybe you can add in a few paragraphs about how you think her life affected her work. like find out what some of her books are about and see if they are related somehow.
sorry if i'm not much help x_x

So far, what's the main subjects have you covered so far in your paper? That way we can give you some suggestions.

^ i agree.
if you are desparate....there are ways to make papers longer. but, of course, thats just for last minute emergencies ^^ if you need them, just pm haha

but for substance...try reading summaries about her works. how does her life parallel with those of her characters? is it different--why do you think so (analyze here). how did she debut at 13 and what did she write. what about this work is similar/significant to her real life?
who does she dedicate her books to?

idk..lol just some ideas? good luck!

Thanks, guys. biggrin.gif

I've basically covered basic info of her life, such as where and when she was born, what schools she went and is going to now, etc., a summary of her career - she started writing from six, debuted at thirteen, and is still writing today - (it takes one page for that), where she gets her inspiration from and why she writes (takes up 3/4), and the writing process for her (takes up one page).

So basically, what you guys are saying is to put my personal insight here?

Also, I kind of need to put more in my opening paragraph... It's just one sentence which is the thesis. o_O

^ If you need to expand the paper, you can give a brief summary of what each book she wrote was about then give your personal insight towards the end about her accomplishments/life.
