but seriously how would UCLA be better than Cal States unless you're a medical, law or history major?

UCLA is a better school than CSULB in most majors. They just have the reputation and the resources.

But you pay for it.

So if money isn't an issue I say UCLA.

LB is almost never the first choice school for undergraduate studies.
It's more for the budget minded or people who couldn't get into/ afford going to a "better" school.
It is a great school though, I go there.
