i apologize if my swear word slip...

this is not jst effecting me but lots of photography students...ever gone to get ur pictures printed and when u come to pay for it the stupid ppl there won't let u purchase it cause they say its professional photo and its against their policy to let u do so and than u would get all frustrated and jst want to give them a knock out...well, that happened to me today. went to walmart in woodbury to get my pictures developed and the stupid lady there was like we can't buy the photos cause its professionally shot. i was like damn, i shot those photos myself, i'm a photographer. and she was like “no” and demand to see how i printed them (btw, i printed it off those cheap kodak machine) maybe she thought i scan them or something but when i showed her my memo card...she was like i could have scan them and still wouldn't let me buy my prints. than i told her that if she dun believe me she could check the metadata cause i shot those pictures...

....she was like we dun have a computer...i was like screw this...what does a photographer have to do to get prints...so what? now i have to open a f***** studio jst to get some damn prints? and also said...i dun f***** want to purchase these (was also printing other photos). i wanted to settle it but my sister walked off so i jst grab the photos and took off. but still shopping with my mom...i was cursing in the store, and i dun give a damn cause they have crappy ppl that knows no s*** about what's pro and what's not...

For god sake…no professional photographer have their clients mini cooper in a cheap steel folding chair and they have better lighting than this (I was proud that f***** lady thought it was pro tho)
I’m jst totally pissed off….so what? Now we have to carry around badge or some kind of registration card what we’re photographers or carry around a lab top to have proof of the meta data that our photos isn’t copied or scanned off some “pro photography.”

Another thing, is that, they almost didn’t let my purchase the prints my other sister wanted me to print for her. Geeze…she shot those with a point and shoot…and in the background u could see blankets and pillows and some books and papers… a messy bed.

I know they have a policy, and they have every right to do such thing…my complaint…is for the stupid ppl they hire to work there…at least hire someone that knows photo and have some good experiences in this industrials…

Jst a warning to who ever leaves near this place…dun get ur photos printed there…the service there…they go through ur stuff like ur some theft…or maybe jst some racist crap…cause this wasn’t my local walmart…this is out in the white part of town…I usually go to my local walmart to print and they dun ask or suspect….this one time I went and through my curiosity, I ask if one of the worker there was a photo major too…and he was like nope…jst working…no wonder =X…

I’m still pissed!!

wow dude I share your pain.
I don't do professional photography, but I love photography.
And that really sucks.

I don't know if this only happened the first time for you, but that does suck.
Plus, you're paying for the photos. I don't get the whole idea of policy.

But yeah, that sucks. Doesn't make sense at all

Yes, use the pinned ranting thread. Reading this section's rules first wouldn't hurt either.
