I don't know which is better.

1) More gruff: This type of guy plays the deep voice rough and bit of a slow thinker style. He lets the girl keep talking (prettily) and he just grunts and says "Yea?" occasionally. This way he comes across more manly and gets to suss out what the girl wants.

2) More intelligent well articulated english: This type of guy speaks almost as much as the girl, he expresses himself clearly and articulately, he is a lover of language. While he listens a great deal to the girl, he is not shy to express himself. He writes poems to her, letters and songs.

Which type of guy do girls prefer and why do you prefer that type of guy?

note: (1) and (2) can be extremes. So you can picka guy in between.

[Typically, the guy starts off as (1). Then the girl marries him, complains he is a clod and doesn't talk enough, then he struggles to become a (2). By then , it is, of course too late as his brain cells are half dead from listening to girl chat. So the girl divorces him as being too stupid for her.]

(I prefer (2) of course but for some reason I see lots of girls preferring (1) these days...)

ah i prefer 2 as well. 1 is just, plain dull. not attractive.

yea i prefer to have a bf that is smarter than me or at LEAST the same level. some girls want to be smarter than the bfs, but umm. sorry, i need a smart guy.

In a relationship, which do you prefer?

1) The type of guy who prefers to make decisions 80-100% of the time (and you are comfortable with that). He is decisive and claims to know your feelings beforehand. If he asks you, he asks in private so no one else will know he doesn't have a clue.

2) The type of guy who openly will ask you for your opinion before deciding (even though he knows what you are likely to say anyway), because he wants to show he is an even handed democratic guy (communicative, egalitarian, and so forth) and its a convenient way of covering ur ass in case u r wrong.

I haven't decided what type I prefer. A lot of guys seem to like being (1) around me but I always think -- 'huh.. is he going ot be like that all the time?'

Because i'm kind of like that. I like to let her decide sometimes even if I want it one way or even if I know she's going to answer one way... haha

Deep voice + intelligence = <3
I prefer deep voices over the typical posh English ones to which you are probably referring, but I don't want a guy who tries to outsmart me in everything I do. I want to be the smart one sometimes (: Deep voices are definitely a turn on.

i always pictured top as the first one,....but im pretty sure he's not a slow thinker.hmm.
i pick the first one.

my bf is number two. but it gets kind of annoying cuz he always corrects me and takes things literally.
and deep voices can be a bit weird sometimes.

always being asked and doing things MY way is really annoying. my bf always does it and it just annoys me cuz i want to do things his way sometimes.
but i guess it's better than someone doing my work. D:

second one is gay, doesn't sound like a man at all. Too emo.

#1 sounds quite cold,
I'd prefer #2 who's an open person who's not afraid to express ideas and opinions
who knows what #1 is thinking anyway,
it scares me if i'm talking to somoene and they don't talk back to me
it makes me think i'm boring XD

And then there are people like me who are unique cause I'm totally different from the two categories.
