how can i delete all the past things and all of my systems...because i have too many virus and so many things that i cannot delete...and if i try to reset my computer...is there a way to keep some of my softwares and music files when i change it? need help! for example...I want to restart the backup system...like all the backup softwares and things that i did last time would be gone and start a new one....I have done it last time...but i forgot which one i should do...thanks!

Im confused... but generally when you have viruses you want to just get rid of everythign to start fresh. Usually its safe to backup like your documents and media but then programs have a chance of being infected still and it can spread to your new computer.

But what you are describing right now is a XP repair install (google it) and that will get rid of all windows and fix that up... and keep your programs/files safe. Of course there is a high chance that you will get reinfected after that... so im not sure if its worth it.

if you have a over the counter pc you can do a destructive restore and it'll start back up just like when you first bought it.

i would try backing up any files on that drive since you dont know what viruses are in there.

or find another computer with antivirus and scan the drive before you start picking files out of the drive.
