the story is about...
Otomiya Haine, a cheerful daughter of a failing furniture business, is attending the Imperial Academy, where she falls in love with an old crush. Her crush, Touguu Shizumasa, is from one of the most prestigious families around, and Haine would do anything to be near him. One day, under strange circumstances, she's given the opportunity to help him. What strange events will plague them now?

eh... the intro may sound cheesy. it's like the combination of hana yori dango & some crappy shuojo love storyline. but i think the story will get much better later. that's what i heard from people having read the 2nd vol. i only have the 1st vol now... so i cant say how it gets better.

it's done by arina tanemura anyway. her works have never disappointed me so far. like FMWS, it sounds boring to me at 1st... but becomes one of my fav manga/anime later.

oh, the 3rd vol just came out in japan in dec.

This manga is absolutely fabulous!!! I love arina tanemura's work and it might be too early to say but i think this is my favorite! art is beautiful and storyline is full of surprises!

I love her art, but all of her stories are just... eeh. I mean, the plot gets so confusing and sometimes I'm just not attracted to the story anymore, only the art. :T

I don't get the whole two Shizumasa thing though...

I love this manga ^^ I follow all of Arina Tanemura's stuff--she's actually my favorite mangaka. And this one, I already love. She's got such a plotting mind...I love her plots. They're complicated and stuff but...in the end, the story pieces fit together perfectly like a puzzle.

She reminds me of guiyeoni ~

I stopped reading this manga after the second volume since I became bored and confused- like with Full Moon wo Sagashite. Her artwork is gorgeous- but the storylines are just...ehh. :T

i really really like this manga in the first few chapters, the story didn't seem like it was going anywhere, after the first volume, it gets very interesting! and the art is very easy on the eyes

I love all of Arina Tanemura's works. I read Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and I'm gonna read that other series. I don't rememeber the other series I read from her though....

ooOOhhh I liked reading this in the bookstore

I really hated how in the second volume you find out that the dude who plays the "king" is actually his twin (or something like that) and is trying to ruin the real "king" by messing up the girl and coming on to the girls friend but it makes the book, oh so more interesting

The artwork of this manga is gorgeous. Everyone just looks so good.
Even Haine's real dad(though he is some what someone you would learn to dislike) is so handsome.
I'm still reading it up to now. Sometimes the storyline just drags but i dunno I just like the 'real' shizumasa..even if he mistreats others..there is just this aura in him..probably he is troubled and all but he tends to be so kind oh well...

i read up to volume 6 or was it 7? on scanlations and it was getting really interesting but then it's updates keep holding back for some reason.....i like what's happening now though.. and yeah i got volumes 1,2,3 from Barnes&Nobles!

ch 43 was just released and it showed what the trial was and what happened when takanari and shizu were little.
Shizu is about to die. i think.
i read ch. 43 and at the end it said that all i want is haine to be with me at my last moments because shizu was taked to the hospital because he started coughing out blood.

chapter 44 was released and i guess shizumasa doesn't die. I'm also VERY upset that Takanari rejected Haine again but why do I get the feeling that it's going to last longer this time? Especially with Haine's and Shizumasa's engagement right around the corner.

this is very interesting at first, but then after a while, you notice that it gets more and MORE cliche as you go! I mean, it's a good read, don't get me wrong, but the predictability and the unrealistically of the whole situation is sometimes appalling. everything in moderation, thats what i think.

this used to be one of my favorites. in the first half, loved it. right around the chapter 35 ish, i didn't like it so much. >.<
