Stumbled upon some remakes of DJ DOC's song "Run to You" (still a goody to me cool.gif - i think the song came out in 2000.)

They were done by groups in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Japan.
The most remake version is by DJ OZMA from Japan (in 2006).

Here's a link showing MV's of the 4 versions (including DJ DOC's).

I think it's interesting...
Vietnam's has a guitar thing going on.
In Taiwan's version people start taking off their clothes.
Japan's version - personally, when they started singing - I got confused a little because it sounded as if Korean was coming out.... but it isn't - if you listen to it carefully. lol

btw ~ not saying there's anything wrong with remakes, Korea does plenty and then some lol.

Did you know the beat is originally Boney M's "Daddy Cool" though..It's good too if you like disco-ish songs.

I wanna watch the vids but it's making me install something.

^ I had no idea about Boney M. Thanks for that info... (i go in and out of k-music from time to time... lol).
I hadn't any problems with installing the player or afterwards... (but i guess it's up to you whether you want to install).

Alex To is actually Filipino, made his name in Hong Kong but released that particular album in Taiwan I believe. Complicated, eh? laugh.gif

alex to is from filipin, hongkong or taiwan ? whatever^^

I just felt sick. when he and his media saying
his own song(?) covered by japanese singer for the first time?

The Japanese version is called Age Age Every Night, and it's by DJ Ozma - a group made of members from the band Kishidan. That side project was kind of a gag... (as was the video). It got really popular quickly, but I wouldn't take it too seriously as a reflection of their talent. Kishidan's vocalist Show (frontman for DJ Ozma) is an amazing dude.

Edison Chen from Hong Kong made a version called Game of Speed. I like this version more than DJ Doc's...think it has better beat. Just my opinion tho.
