yeah it was just a bad decision for my first car, wasn't mature enough to handle it. It was such a clean car too, I wasted my money putting down stuff like buckets and kits.

mr2s are sexy as hell in stock form and should probably be left that way for the most part. thats a pic when my uncle picked up the car like 3 years ago.

lol...mr2s spin easily if they're not treated right. They're very unforgiving cars. I changed lanes...fast I guess and spun out. 80 - 90mph into a guardrail. totally spin out front hit, then spun and the rear hit

Better looking? BARF*, the mrs sold so badly because no one could stand the looks. It came with like 130hp and was drastically lighter, with better balance. It was a roadster and ment to be a condender with cars like the miata.

So I got a question. I've tried to search around but I haven't exactly found an answer. So my tires are getting pretty bald and I need to replace them at the end of summer at latest. I decided to back to 15" just because tires are cheaper that way and I was able to pick up these jeep rims that I'm reconditioning for $40. So my question is how much of a difference would it be if I decided to go with 205 all around? I understand that the rear tires are meant to be wider because of oversteer, but I'm thinking if I went 205 all around, I could do some tweaking with the suspension to fight oversteer. Would that be a good idea? Keep in mind i have an NA, so not much power to be spinning the tires and I don't exact push the car hard either. It'd be nice to be able to rotate the tires too so I can make less trips to the tire shop.

the mr-s returns to the roots of the mr2.
the sw20 is the freak of the trio.
think of the mr-s as the newer version of the aw11 mr2.
and think of the sw20 as the "different" mr2.

Wowsers, I"m really surprised to see this thread. I thought everyone on here drove like an M3, but hey this proves it wrong! I love MR2's their hot and unique. I was planning on getting one, but with the snow and black ice just out of the questiong. As bada$$ was I wanna be I know I don't have enough experience to handle the mid-engine spin outs. Anyone on here have it with the TRD wide kit?

Spunout at around 90 - 100....on the freeway, while I was changing lanes. The car is so touchy, jerk the wheel at all, and it'll kick the rear. I wasn't even turning, just changing lanes.

just out of curiousity..
you didn't lift off the throttle abruptly(as in, boost then lift off the throttle) and change the direction of the car simultaneously did you?

CLEAN!! What offsets are you running? Nice decent lip, but looks like when you drop it, it might be just a tad bit flushed out? I could be wrong and it may be just the angle. And a set of Kouki's up next, can't wait to see the update pics

-drop it a bit more
-find a new hood
-put in a bigger turbo + change some things around
-new paint job

looks good. imo, i think greddy, toms, kei office or something less bulkier would look better. not really a huge fan of border skirts. though, i really love the toms front, kei office sides and toms rear combo. i find the lines in those flow very well. what size are your wheels?
morgan.de.toi
Jan 11 2007, 01:50 AM
^ yea i'm changing to some bomex sideskirts.
i've been told the ones i have now look like tissue boxes.
hahaha
but i had to slap on something to make it look "complete"
and the wheels are 15" enkeis, currently, I also have some 17" racing sparco that need refinishing and another set of 16'' sitting in my garage

that i didn't know how. it was a hand me down.
but... i heard there's a knob to twist to adjust the headlights to open or close. i am thinking you have to modify the mechanism so it stops halfway... kind of like a bumpstop for coilovers.

i should get pics of my friends mr2's. one has a 2.2L td07 25g (i think) and makes 403 rwhp iirc. his car is painted rx7 innocent blue mica. my other friend also has a td07 25g but its only a 2.0L. when he got tuned he had some issues on the dyno but he made 310ish rwhp. he's working on an air-water intercooler right now. his car is painted r32 blue.
this is my friend with the 2.0L

he bought the car with that kit, he's getting rid of it. it sucks that its molded on.

yeh ive seen his car around the boards. im not very fond of the border kit as well. he should get a full toms or kei office kit, those are slick.
im going for the full kei office look:
