i've been looking to buy a new digital camera for some time now, but i've been looking at so many reviews that i'm getting really confused and split on what i should get. when i got visit the stores, it seems like all the cameras are really good.
another problem i have is that i always tend to choose the prettier camera and not always the best one.

so things i'm looking for:
-small/thin not too chunky
-at least 5megapixel
and it has to be pretty =)

thanks everyone =)

I have the Canon SD30 in black. It's small, cute, and 5.0 megapixel also! My friends love this camera; and so do I! You can practically fit it in the palm of your hand. No joke. This camera can easily fit into a small purse and it's lighweight also. smile.gif

There's TONS of special effects too. Their 'my colors' function is so awesome.

kodak v530 or v550 are pretty much the same camera with a few differences...
i really like it.. it's the size of a credit card, and only .9 inches thick.. if you pay extra money for the v530 you can get it in red or pink (i got the black one for $180 from beachcamera ....)

canon SD630 (there is a 5megapix but don't remember what it's call)..it's so nice, small and thin

have you seen the billions of threads about digital cameras here? they would have at least given you a good idea on where to look at cameras and what brands you want.
kamui_hime
^well yeah
i checked the 'show off ur digi cam' thread but everyone seems to have canons, which i dont particularly like

i found one recently.. panasonic fx 01 that i kindof like... but thanks for your suggestions

imuhhater: ooo i love that camera! its soooo beautiful.. but i looked up some of the reviews and ppl seem to say the flash isn't that good and it has a really weak battery.. i hate it when electronics have weak batteries coz my mp3 player died that way sleep.gif;; hows the battery life on urs?
tru__minute: is that the new one w/ the kate moss commerical?

I personally don't think that the battery-life is weak at all. As for the flash, I think it's fine. It's difficult from a far distance, but other than that, I see no problem with the flash. smile.gif
jeezchris.
Canon Powershot SD630.
3" LCD Screen, 6.0 megapixels, 12X total zoom.
what more can you ask for? smile.gif
kinesis
hmm. why don't you like canon? it's always been raved as #1 in digital camera quality. so i recommend any canon cameras because they're all good. but if you don't like it then i guess never mind.

How can you NOT like Canon?
J_LINDEBERG
the canon SD series are small and compact. i like it alot. in terms of photo quality and features, i like fuji
*.:StarryEyeSurprise:.*
get the canon ixus 960 is

it has 12 mp

3.7 zoom I think

small and compact

I just bought one. Trust me get this. I went through cnet and checked out reviews for over 35 cameras that were popular

this gets the best reviews

but you need to get a bigger sd card bc the 12 mp will run alittle slow (supposedly ) if you don't

I got a 4gb sd card so it's hella fast

picture quality is GREATT

get this unless you're willing to spend over 1000 for a srs one

this camera is expensive though....so if you're on a budget, the canon camera might be pricey

here's the review from cnet: http://www.cnet.com.au/digitalcameras/came...39281304,00.htm
