Has anyone read "Bokura Ga Ita" by Obata Yuuki?

I think the title translates into "Our Existence" and its about a love story between a girl Takahashi Nanami and a boy Yano Motoharu. I think the cover art is very refreshing and simple but pretty. The story itself is all about their relationship and friendships that involve them. Very simple but touching.

Summary i took from Perfect Illusions:
The beginning of high school life, also means the beginning of a brand new love life to the girls. For the lively high school freshman, Takahashi Nanami, nicknamed Nana, this is also the case... Incidentally, a popular guy, Yano Motoharu, happens to be in the same class as Nana. 2/3 of the girls in class fall in love with him but Nana seems to hate him?!

That is just the beginning. The story goes from there to involve Yano's bestfriend, Masafumi, and Yuri, the sister of Yano's ex (Nana Yamamoto). Yano can't seem to forget his ex Nana who died two years ago and Nanami thinks she's a substitute. Masafumi ends up liking Nanami and Yuri secretly plots to win over Yano. It's a pretty solemn story.

The anime is coming out July 3rd!!! =)

Ooo! I read it long time ago. It's pretty good. =) The cover caught my eye! I LOVE the front cover<3 Especially the 2 couple so close together.. I wonder how the anime will turn out.

Sounds like any other shoujo manga but I'd be interested in it just because. I shall go dig up information on this.

Bokura ga Ita's okay. I'm still not use to the art, and the story isn't that special. I prefer Obata's one shot love stories more.

I jus saw this anime ! lol, it was cute, but so far I've only found the first 4 chapters of this manga I can't find volume 2 for some reason....does anyone know any sites where I can download it ?

In Spain it's licensed,now we're on vol 6, in Japan the last vol that got out is vol 10.Now I'm downloading the anime I'll see it soon. ^^

Actually it is an anime. But imo the anime was really dodgy...they only focused on the main ones, didnt even bother to animate the surroundings..

the manga isnt over in japan yet, right? if anyone here has seen the anime, i love the ED songs for episodes 6 and 7!

i like the anime style, it's really simple and nice..but then later on, shows us how horny those teenagers are . I just realize how the ED songs change per episode or every few episodes..

My sister showed me the first episode.. omg Nanami is so cute. I really like the style on this anime. Simple, I love the voices too... I want to find out more now =)

I love it!!! It's really touching in some parts and funny in others. Pretty sad though. Some parts really made me cry heh ^__^

Perfect Illusions has it on its irc channel. They're up to volume 3 chapter 2 i think. I think they're the only site this far. There are two others but they've just released the first chapter only.

If you can read chinese, I can sell you each volume (new) for $6-7 shipped in Chinese. I have all the nine chinese ones that came out. Actually i went today to see if the tenth was released in chinese yet but =((

For those who don't understand why i'm so obsessed with such a simple and sort of typical shoujo manga, i think its because its simple and the plot isn't extraordinary but it shows the cute and sincere sides of first love. =)

Oh I remember the cover!!! I read the 1st volume of this manga (because I adored the cover ) a long time ago and liked it very much, the story is simple yet touching. But after that I didn't read anymore cuz I couldn't find the files anywhere to dl and cuz I didn't even remember the title. So it's called Bokura ga Ita. Silly me, there's also an anime of this right? Now I must go and download it, hehe .

*Edit*: Darn, this is not the manga I thought I had read *sweatdrops*, the other one was...calmer, sweeter and just generally more relaxing... But, this manga wasn't that bad, I just read it and thought it was pretty nice. Let see how things will progress.

You can watch it online, youtube has it up to episode 19. The next one hasn't been sub yet. I want to see more.

i'm watching the anime.. love it so far. nana's so cute but i think i like yano's friend better. that other girl is just creepy. yano shouldn't hv done what he did after that her sister died

i read it a long time ago, didn't know they made an anime of it. o.O

I think yano did it with yuri because he wanted to feel close to nana-san since she's gone and the only way was to be with her sister. Since they were well sisters, I know that was really sick of him to sleep with yuri just because he misses nana-san so much.

At least he didn't do that same mistake again. It was only one time and I don't think nana-chan should use that against him. She's the one that's important in his life. She's always questioning him about nana-san and I think that'll make anyone go insane.

i loved loved it at first but the anime really really killed it for me.. x.x; what's w/ stupid yano getting all horny and shizz.

It's not that great of a manga to be blunt.

I never read the manga, but I finished the anime a couple of weeks
ago. It was really.. slow. I liked it though. The animation was really
nice and that's what kept me watching it Nana got so annoying
sometimes though, seriously >_> But the end makes it seem as if
there will be a sequal? If there is, I'd watch it ^^ I really love the
art~ even if the story is a bit slow

www.fansub.tv has the animated series up for grabs they only have 25 of the 26 episodes. but the 26th episode you can find on youtube. only saw the first 5 episodes but its pretti good so far i like it.
