Between those two, i would get the civic. more horsepower and better fuel efficiency. i would only go for the matrix if i needed the cargo space. but then again, i would rather go for something else like a mazda3 hatch instead of the matrix even though the mazda3 gets worse gas mileage. The top choices for an economy car under 20k would be the civic or corolla. other competitors are the sentra, mazda3, lancer.. the two i would consider are civic or mazda3.. civic being more economical, and mazda3 being more fun to drive and more cargo space (with the hatch)

Honda S2000 but get the AP1 (2000-2003) because it has a 9k redline if you can help it get the 2002 because it has the leather wrapped shift knob, tweeters in the doors, and a glass rear window with defrost. Most of the problems where worked out in the MY02. It only comes 6 speed so...yea.
Very tossable car, its a honda so its very reliable. 240hp on a 4 cylinder engine. Convertible, 2 seater, rwd, hid's, digital gauges. Only downside is you cannot rotate the tires, no traction control or anything like that, better not have more than 1 friend that needs a ride, stiff suspension so uncomfy for long drives, sucks in rain and don't even think about driving when it snows.

Depends on which tires but factory tires yes. The popular tire for this vehicle is the Potenza S02 and that sucks in the rain. Then you have the Potenza S03 which is good for like the first 3-4k miles because it has this small rain tread but once that runs out its pretty much like an S02.
But like everything if you have skill enough then you can drive this car all year round with all season tires as some people do on the s2000 forum

if you get an E36 M3 look for a 97 if you can help it, it has the updated nose, water pump, it also has the 3.2 litre engine where as the 95 has the 3.0 litre engine. I think the 99's will be over 20k but if you can find one in your price range because they are awesome. I believe they used a different type of leather that year as well as a 3 spoke steering wheel

I think a Civic hatch would be a great car for you. Its economical and practical. GTis are nice I hear, but they might cost a lot to insure. I'm not sure how much Matrix goes for, but I would also recommend that.

That sounds like a reasonable price. I'm not sure about that bodykit but KBB values it at about $13K CDN, so $12K CDN sounds like a good price. Not sure if Canada has it, but find out if it has a salvaged title or not and bargain it down to $10,500 or so. Its a used car dealer, so I would say that you only have $10K at most.

it's a decent price.
another car you could try looking at is the 94-00 Acura Integra...although, it'd be hard to find one that hasn't been modified(usually riced out) yet. Civic's are good too, 92-00 you can usually find them for well less than 10,000cdn.
some other cars come to mind..but they're not good for A to B commuter cars.

i dunno how luxurious a car can get for under $10,000.
But you can try a 97-99 maxima SE or some kind of accord. They're easier on the gas than a mustang. For your budget you would probably be getting the '99-04 V6 mustang and not the GT. good thing about domestics is their resale value isn't as great as some imports so it should be cheap for you. You might even want to take a look at the previous gen of mustangs, '94-98 if their look appeals to you

i'll juss copy and paste onto here ^^
so... i'm planning to buy my first car before the end of november... and at first my parents were gonna go with the g35 or the 350z... but then... it's my first car right so i didn't want something nice when it was gonna get messed up anyways so I downgraded slightly and I'm currently considering a used chrylser crossfire
here's a picture of the front

and this is what it looks like from the side

it's a convertible... and here's a few stats on it
EPA Fuel Economy:
City: 17 – 21 Highway: 24 – 28
Available Engines:
215-hp, 3.2-liter V-6
330-hp, 3.2-liter V-6
Available Transmissions: 5-speed automatic w/OD
5-speed automatic w/OD and auto-manual
6-speed manual w/OD
Notable Features
• Tapered hatchback coupe body
• Standard 215-hp, 3.2-liter V-6
• Manual or automatic
• Kinship to Mercedes-Benz
• New Roadster for 2005
• New supercharged SRT6 model for 2005
Pros
+ Performance
+ Maneuverability
+ Sporty handling and steering
+ Automatic-transmission operation
+ Seat comfort and support
Cons
- Difficult entry and exit
- Ride comfort on rougher surfaces
- Interior space
- Visibility
- Control layout
Chrysler introduced a shapely new low-slung sports coupe for 2004. Considered the first tangible result of the DaimlerChrysler merger, the Crossfire is built in partnership with Karmann in Germany. The Crossfire's bodysides are relatively tall, but glass surfaces are minimal. Either a six-speed-manual gearbox or five-speed-automatic teams with the standard 215-horsepower, 3.2-liter V-6.

Hey Infinit... how is the Crossfire downgraded slightly? If you mean by price... well those three choices come up similar.
really...? cuz when i looked up a used crossfire it was like $22 k and like $28~30k for G35 or 350z

lol.. i would definately choose a 350Z or G35 over the crossfire. and you call that a downgrade? in price or quality of the car?

no i don't mean downgrade in quality, juss in price cuz like i said right above, there was a quite hefty price difference of course the mileage mite affect it to but the mileage was both between 15k~20k it was pretty similiar

Type of car (sporty, luxury, economy, SUV): sporty/economy
Price range:16,000-21,000
New or used:preferrably new
Manual or automatic:auto
Years of driving:2
Cars currently suggesting:honda civic 2006 coupe, honda accord 2006 coupe
Needs and other info (do you need passenger room, cargo space, AWD, etc):
Accord V6 Coupe is probably your best bet.
not sure about how much they go for where you live though.
if you don't mind a little bit older...maybe a Lexus GS ?

Crossfire? Someone here at my work has one. Looks kinda weird. I would say the Crossfire is the least practical of the 3. If you can afford the G35, I'd get that.
